Seeing Brandin again

I wasn't able to be happy anymore with the visions of her body in the bag, or her blood that stained the bathroom floor. Her bedroom was the same as she left it, I haven't gone in there since the night she started having night terrors. I just missed everything about her. I went out the door of my apartment and headed for my car, I knew that this experiment was going to involve me doing something with a positive mind so I tried to listen to music to bump up my spirits. By the time I got there the doctors strapped my body to a table. To make sure that I don't move and mess up the experiment. I guess you can say I was very terrified. I didn't have a clue what was going on but this was how I felt it was going to end. The doctors came with a pod and asked me if it was okay that they opened it. I agreed kindly but with an open mind I was scared. Next thing I know she was standing in front of me. They unstrapped me from the table and I ran up to hug her but then I quickly stopped. This wasn't the real Stacey. She isn't an easy thing to replace. You can't ever replace her or the marks she left in my heart. I turned away and walk off I wasn't going to let a clone of the love of my life get to me. She was all an illusion, they are trying to get the best of me. They never knew her like I did, they never loved her like I did and that was the whole point. She is not going to come back and that's what I have to deal with. On my way home I stopped to get food and I ran into Brandin at the store. It was strange seeing him after everything that happened. He looked like he was in the same boat I was in. He looked like he didn't get much sleep or the sleep he got was just enough to get him through the day. He looked like he cried a lot for his eyes were red and puffy. He slouched a lot more now and wasn't very proud as he was when she was still here. He was a lot more quiet than he was at school when she first came but then again he never really wanted someone like he wanted her. He was wearing all grey and I didn't even notice how he dyed his hair from brown to blonde. He kinda looked like Ponyboy from the Outsiders which was her favorite movie. It was her number one movie she wanted after she saw it. She was always inspired by the words and lessons in the movie. I walked by and he saw me, "Hey Jake." I replied with something like, "Hey Ponyboy. No wait... Brandin? Is that you?" He let out a small chuckle and I actually watched him smile. He was really awkward like his confidence was gone. I asked how he was doing but he looked down. I swear he has never been this upset ever. He was darker and far more distant than usual. He was like a stranger in the distance. I never really got to have a full conversation with him ever. Well I thought it was the wrong time to invite him over so I decided to get what I needed and go home.
