Sirius's pov

I continuously kick the back of Remus's chair during the middle of transfiguration and silently laugh to myself as I see his shoulders grow more and more tense with every passing second. He's one more kick away from yelling at me before McGonagall jumps in to take that joyous experience away from him.

"Mr Black!?" She barks at me from her desk at the front of the room. "I hope-"

She's cut off from the beginning of her rant by the door swinging open dramatically and a mass of light brown hair comes tumbling through, tripping on the uneven flagstones. She falls flat onto the floor but still manages to lift her head up so that she's looking at us all and grin.

"Well, that's one way to make an entrance." She jokes, leaning on her elbows and putting her head in the palms of her hands.

A raven flies in and lands perfectly on her shoulder, barely making her hair ruffle with its blue black wings. She just sighs and brushes him off, looking up to see him circling around the ceiling. I turn to look at McGonagall's reaction, she doesn't disappoint and doesn't look at all impressed at the situation. I bite down on my lip to try not to laugh at her sour expression.

"Miss Honeyduke." She berates, clucking her tongue in anger and disapproval.

"Please, Minerva," She interrupts as politely as you can when interrupting, once again trying to knock off the raven which has returned to its spot on her shoulder. "There's no need for formalities, call me Lalia."

McGonagall gives her an unimpressed glare and I try to hold back the torrents of laughter that are threatening to burst through my lips. The others aren't all so subtle with their giggles and soon the whole room is echoing with the sounds. I let it loose and my loud barks of laughter are heard over the rest of everyone's.

"That is enough!" McGonagall yells, making us all instantly stop. "Miss Honeyduke, please take a seat and stop wasting everyone's time." Her tone is icy and Lalia grimaces, brushing the raven off the top of her head and standing up to take her chair in the middle of the class.

I'm pretty sure I'm of the hook before McGonagall rounds on me again.

"Don't think you've got off lightly, Mr Black. I'm watching you, and if you so much as-"

She's cut off once again by the door flinging open and the new, albeit a bit unorganised, nurse rushes through the door.

"What now!" She yells, making the birds (which are soon meant to be turned into footstools) cry out and flap around the room for a couple of seconds, in shock of her sudden outburst.

The nurse opens her mouth to explain but McGonagall holds her hand up to stop her in her tracks.

"My guess is that you're here for Miss Honeyduke." She says with a shrill sounding voice through gritted teeth. "Take her. But I don't want any more interruptions in my lesson."

Everyone turns around to look at where Lalia sits, only she's not there anymore. I feel a tap on my leg and check no one is watching me before I sneakily look down to see her hiding under my desk. She puts a finger to her lips and puts on a pleading face, begging me with her eyes to not tell. I just smirk at her and turn to McGonagall.

"Miss! She's here!"

"Bastard." Lalia whispers and jumps out of her hiding place, running down the aisles between the desks. "You'll never take me!"

The two adults look exasperated and unsuccessfully try to reign her in. Eventually, I think that McGonagall gets bored of her antics because she storms angrily up to her.
