Kitten's!!!

It was cold in the middle of the woods it was dark and I didn't bring anything with me, I couldn't, I had to keep running no matter what I couldn't let them catch me! Before this night I lived a fairly peaceful life in the village selling herbs and salves in doing this I become the village's apothecary, I did this no one knew what I really am. As I was closing my shop like every other day a man came in taking his coat off , "I'm sorry sir but we're closed for the night." As I said this I smiled at him and given he wasn't any of the villagers, he looked at me his eye's looked glossed over almost possesed "I'm sorry but may I ask you something?" He said looked at him confused "What is it sir?" I replied after that he grinned "Is it true that witches commonly sell herbs?" Staring at me with that intense grin. I looked at hime annoyed but in truth I was terrified, "I'm sorry but isn't it kind of ridiculous to believe in those things at your age?" I said as I walked to the back of my shop the lock the door as I turned back he was right behind me "Sir I think it's time for you to leave." I walked to the front with him directly behind me asking how I got to this village and where I came from, now annoyed rather then afraid I got his coat and shoved it into his arm and shouted, "Sir it's quite rude to barge into one's shop and accuse them of high treason! Now I suggest you leave." In saying all that I opened the door and pushed him out, he looked surprised at my response just as I was about to close the door I glared at him. After that I was pretty sure he left and that's when I started to clean up for the day, about an hour or 2 later I finally got to lock up and head home. After walking for about 20 minutes I heard a rustle to my right and out came 3 kitten's, I almost squealed aloud luckily I didn't and crouched down to pet them. Looking around I didn't see their mom so I picked them up and took them home. As I reached the door I heard people whispering a few feet behind me, this made me freeze. I was frozen because no one knew where I lived and shouldn't have been able to find my house. Turning around to find the strange man from earlier and a woman who looked familiar, the man gave Alina a wicked grin 'Found you~' He mouthed, upon seeing this I snapped my fingers causing the ground to create a barrier. I placed the kitten's inside with the other cat's and told them to run, they did even if they didn't fully understand. After a few minute's the barrier was down and I started running from the two assailants, while doing this I made as much noise as possible assuring the safety of my pet's. After running for about an hour or so I made it to a waterfall, I knew that there was a small cave behind the water fall which would be a good place to rest before running again. Pacing the small cave I started to mumble to herself asking, "How did he find me? Does he know what I am?! I know that woman but from where!" As my anger started to boil I heard heavy footsteps. Staying quiet and still I decided to stay there for the night since I knew they'd probably look for me all night. Knowing this I groaned, "Just my luck." I said as laid on the floor curling into myself to stay warm. As they continued to search I stayed asleep until the sun started to pour in through the water. Waking up very groggy and a little sore I stretched and started to walk out of the cave, peeking behind the waterfall to see if the two from last night camped there too. Luckily they seem to have gone further South, this gave me time to get a branch so I could drag it behind me to cover any tracks or so I hoped.
