Emery's POV {pic of Emery >>>

*EHH EHH EHH* I basically slammed my hand down on my alarm, hopefully breaking it in the process so I wouldn't hear it go off again.

Today was the first week of school, well for me I guess you could say. Me and my mom had recently moved here about a week ago from Rhode Island. She had gotten a job offering here and insisted we moved instead of her driving 4 hours everyday.

I wasn't really fond about going to school in the middle of March. I wasn't the type of girl who liked attention.

I figured it was time to get out of bed, after starring at my clock for countless minutes.

I got up and went to the bathroom. I decide to take a shower even though I took one last night.

I turned on the water, switching the nob to hot. Hopefully it would relieve all the stress that was built up inside me.

I quickly put my Cucumber Melon shampoo on and scrubbed myself down with body wash. I let the hot water run down my back making my tense muscles loosen a little bit. After that I turned off the water and hopped out.

Wrapping the towel around me I walked out to the closet.

I decided on a navy blue sweater and gray skinny jeans, completing it with my dark brown combat boots. Looking myself in the mirror I decided putting my hair in a loose side braid, leaving extra strands out for show.

After that I did the usually. Brushed my teeth and washed my face. I put on some eyeliner, making my brown eyes pop out just a little.

Satisfied with my look I trudged out of the bathroom and down the stairs.

"Good morning, Sweetie." my mom said as I turned the corner. She had a piece of French toast out and some bacon. I sat down and stared at it. "Not going to eat it? I see." I heard her say. "Not hungry, I guess and the fact that I just brushed my teeth." "Sorry Mom."

"It's ok sweetie." she said giving me a hug. "I understand you're nervous" "Thanks" I mumbled, giving her a goodbye kiss and grabbing my bag.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I closed the door behind me, ready to embrace the sun, but instead I saw puddles of mud and rain falling from the sky. Putting my hood up I headed out. I almost felt something like this was gonna happen. As if my bad luck wouldn't just be my first day of school. Maybe for once I could've made an appropriate appearance, but I guess Mother Nature thought otherwise.
Turning the corner I spotted the hell hole I wanted to stay away from. Me being the shy girl and outcast I had asked my mom to "home school" me. As you can probaly tell she said NO, told me I needed a real education. One I could go to college with, get a job and maybe start a family. I mean yes I did want to do all those things, but would it really happen?
Reality hit me, when I felt like I was being watched. Jerking my head around I looked behind me, but in my suspense no one was there Go Figures. I shrugged it off and kept walking until I ended up at the school doors.
This it I though to myself. I opened the doors, not expecting to see what I saw.
Nothing, there was nothing. As in nothing, I mean no lockers, coat racks, not even a sign of any student. It was like some abandoned school.
I sighed and thought to myself. I was pretty sure I was told to go to West Gordon High. Maybe I should've checked with my mom before I had left, considering there was literally nothing.
I shrugged it off and whipped around, getting ready to head back out. I guess I should've remembered since my mom had told me millions of times "East, Emery. Not West, East. E-A-S-T. " She basically was talking to me like I was some 3 year old girl.
I tried to remember what the directions were. After about 10 minutes I finally managed to get some remembrance of my mom's constant explaining on how to get there.
~~~

I looked up at the building with the letters EAST GORDON HIGH painted on the the top. One and a half point for me, I thought.

The building was basically a light brown. Paint was chipping off. From all the effects I assumed. There were some windows here and there. Some cracked and some looking brand new. Then there were just 4 doors leading into "death".

I headed up to one and pulled it open. Revealing another set of doors. I crossed my fingers, hoping there would actually be lockers, doors, and maybe even some people.

Opening the doors I sighed in relief as I saw everything I wanted to see.

There were lockers the size of who knows. Doors, variating from small to big, black to dark gray. And lastly the students. I'd count them all but I'd probably loose tract, considering there was like 300 of them.

Since I was here now I just needed to get through the rest of the school day, and year. Basically my school life didn't stop here.
