As my mask shatters I hear you scream my name.
Your desperate sounding voice echoing across this wasteland.
But I don't react as I am not the same as before I am now insane.
You had reached out to me but I refused to take your hand.
Do you really understand my pain?

The sky is filling up with darkness
What's left of my mind is slowly breaking into pieces.
My heart has hardened up because I know this war is a mess.
What can I say? My soul is gone.

I was a lost cause.
Yet you managed to pull me back to reality.
It was like I came out of this nightmare's pause.
Soon enough I felt like my old self again...was this all just a bad fantasy?
You knew I wasn't lost.

As I am now fading away again I can hear you calling out to me.
I smile ever so sweetly to you.
I break because I can longer be seen.
Please don't cry as we will reunite soon.
