I woke up, laying in a hospital bed, surrounded by my friends and my sister.

"What.. What happened?" I said, feeling weak.

"You were sedated. They wanted you to leave the room, so the doctors could help Caspar," Alfie explained. "You refused to leave, so they had to drug you, and we helped extract you from the room."

"Is he okay?" I teared up.

"We haven't heard anything," Poppy said. "The doctors assessed the cause of the seizure, but they're trying to see if it was caused by the past surgery, like the coma."

"Guys?" A new voice ran into the room. "How is he?"

"We haven't heard anything," Zoë said, giving Theodora a hug.

"Do the doctors think it was caused by the tumor?" She asked.

"They're not entirely sure. The surgery was back in January, and he seized now after being in a coma for over a month..." Poppy said. I laid silent, rubbing my eyes. "What do you guys think is going on?"

"I don't know," Zoë said.

"Not sure.... It may have been spreading," Alfie said, worried.

"Do I not get a say in this?" I sassed. "I'm the boyfriend of the guy in question!" They all turned to face me.

"Go on.." Theodora said.

"The doctors said that if anything happens, involving regression, they'd have to go back in and operate further.." I explained.

"So... it spread?" Theodora teared up. "Damn it, I was hoping this wouldn't happen..."

"I know..... I'm hoping they can get to it..." I sighed.

"He's only stage one and he started treatment immediately, so this should be the last operation for a while, if there aren't anymore complications," Alfie said. "He had called me late in November and told me he was going to the doctor."

"By now, who knows...." Theodora cried, then sat by me, covering her eyes. I wrapped my arm around her and held her head to my shoulder.

"This sucks..." I teared up. "He's the greatest man I've ever met.. He doesn't deserve this."

"He doesn't.." Poppy agreed.

We waited for another hour until Caspar's doctor came in.

"How is he?" Theodora asked, desperately.

"He's stable. We were able stop the seizing while we operated," He explained. "The growth had spread to the inner workings of his eye, and hadn't been removed, so he's going to be wearing an eye patch over his eye to risk any infection to the area."

"You removed his eye?" Poppy asked.

"No, no. We had to operate around the inside of his eyelid, as the growth had spread to the outside of his iris. We never saw it as his eyes were closed from the time of his first operation, through now."

"So is he awake?" Zoë asked.

"He should be waking soon, and they're shouldn't be anymore complications, besides his partial blindness. Caspar will still be able to see, as long as his right eye is not strained from overuse," The doctor explained. "You may go in, and you will not need to wear masks, as long as you are all sterilized thoroughly and change your clothing. We don't want to risk anything from outside bothering his recovery."

We went with a nurse to get sterilized and she made sure none of us had a single cough, sore throat, or anything relating to a fever before we went to see Caspar.
