In a tent surrounded by the landscape of mountains......

A man with long blonde hair was looking at a map of the dragon kingdom.

"Master." A man clad in a black suit appeared behind him. "We've received reports of a newcomer entering Mount Nebula. He has met the lord of wind."

"Is that so? Then continue spying. If he gets anywhere near the base, do inform me." The blonde man ordered.

"Yes, master." The man in black vanished. 'So now those old monsters are planning to send a kid? What a joke.' He thought. 'Heh. Soon enough, we'll see how it goes."

On the other hand... Kori and Kyle had reached a small town not too far from the secret base. "Kori, I'll need you to stay here." Kyle told Kori.

"I sensed somebody spying on us from the moment we left the mountain. Even though the spy may be gone now, I'm sure of it that he'll return. If you stay here, I can sneak into their base while they're thinking we're still here." He said when Kori asked why.

After a while, Kori finally nodded and sighed, "Fine, but come back safe. Alright?" Kyle gave her a bright smile and a pat on the shoulder.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine." Kyle decided to start work an hour or so before midnight. When the hands of the clock in the middle of the town struck 11, he set off towards the base of the enemy.

Some random but important guy's POV

Ha... the air is fresh, the moon is complete, and I'm dying to sink my teeth into something... or someone, preferably. Oh? What's this? A lone knight out on a mission to save the princess? It isn't surprising since even armies had went past my home, but sending in a child? What bravery. Well, it's none of my business to meddle with... unless that child manages to make it out alive...

A man with a sleek black suit smiled creepily(?). He then turned into thousands of bats and flew off into the dark night.

Back to Third Person POV

Kyle approached the mountains from the west where there were only two watch towers, each with two guards, and the guards in one of them were taking a nap. Kyle headed to the guard tower which didn't have sleeping guards, and climbed up from the side of the tower.

[A few years back, Kyle acquired a new movement ability called shadow step. It allows Kyle to move through shadows unseen, and also increases base speed.]

Without the guards noticing, Kyle was in the tower hidden behind all wall. When one of the guards walked passed him, he immediately grabbed the guard and strangled him to death. The other guard, noticing his friend 'falling' down, tried find out what happened, but before he could do anything, a dagger flew right into his face, and he fell flat on to the ground. After Kyle was finished with the tower, he went over to the other tower and killed the two guards.

He jumped off the tower and used his shadow step to merge with the shadows casted by the tents.Upon reaching a tent that looked a bit more decorated than the others, Kyle heard arrogant laughter.

"Get to safety? My father is strong enough to kill anyone who dares to stand in his way! And what do you mean I'm drunk?? I shouldn't shout? Well the thing is why should I listen to you! Ha, it's not like the enemy can hear us or anything!" Other than the annoying voice, there seemed to be a few other people in the tent trying to get the drunkard to a safer place, after having received information about Kyle.

"I heard the princess was in the east dungeon. Too bad I can't get ahold of her yet, but when my father wins... Mwahahahaha!" The son continued talking loudly. After having received the information he needed, Kyle quickly headed towards where the princess was held captive. Upon reaching a black tent after waves and waves of patrolling guards, he snuck in and saw a large, metal cage that was locked by enchanted runes.

"Who is it?" The girl in the cage asked.

"Shhhh. Be quiet. I'm here to bust you out." Kyle whispered. He thought the girl would seek for help, but her response almost made him faint.

"Why so? I very much like it here. Everyone here gives me plenty of food to eat every day! Meanwhile in the palace, everyone is like 'you must have proper eating etiquette and stuff' and I'm never full. Over here I can stuff my belly twice with each meal and no one bothers to say a thing!" The girl replied innocently and cheerfully. Kyle didn't know that he was sweating from the fact that either the girl didn't realise the situation or she's just being cute.

"You do know that you're being held hostage right?" Kyle was looking at the girl weirdly.

"Nah, I don't care. I just want to eat." Kyle almost felt like fainting right now.  But he assured himself and got straight to the point. "Look, I'm your cousin. And we need to get out of here. I'll give you anything you want, so can we please get out of here?" Kyle even took out a really rare apple he found in the dungeons, hoping to earn the princess's favour.

"Fine, but you're gonna have to work on the magic runes on the lock first." The girl reminded Kyle as she began nibbling on the apple. As Kyle was working on the lock, the girl suddenly said,

"By the way, this is nice." Which almost made Kyle lose his concentration. After a few minutes, Kyle finally broke the lock. At the same time on the other side of the base, the blonde man opened his eyes.

"Someone is trying to release the princess!" He called a soldier over. "You over there! Head over to the east prison and check if anything suspicious has occured. Got it?" He commanded.

  "Yes sir!"

After Kyle released the princess, he immediately dragged the princess away.

"Awww, we're leaving already? So soon? This was fun."

Black lines formed across Kyle's forehead as he sighed. "I'll need to do something before leaving." He told his cousin as he dragged her to the annoying guy's tent.

"Stay here." Kyle began chanting as he ordered his cousin to stay behind him. "Doamne de foc, eliberează o furtună asupra acestui loc!" He chanted as flames began swirling around the tent.

"Who is it?!" The son of the general in the tent rushed out. Upon seeing the should-be-captured princess with Kyle, he immediately started casting a spell, but Kyle rushed right in front of him in a blink of an eye, and punched him in the stomach as he crashed into some tents. Kyle used his shadow step to follow up with the finishing move, before a spout of water came gushing down right before him, forcing Kyle to jump back. "You know, it's impolite to kill someone in another's home, isn't it? Where are your manners?" The man with blonde hair appeared and asked.
