I'm running as fast as I can from some men trying to take me away. They have guns, and they are catching up. One shoots but misses, barely. I'm running through a building, a hospital. I can't tell exactly which wing of the hospital I'm in. I run into a room and run to the other side of an occupied bed. "Athena its me." My sister says from the bed. "Naomi? What happened?" I ask. Unfortunately, I didn't get an answer because the guys rush in and see my sister. One of them smiles maliciously and then aims and fires at Naomi "NO!" I scream as I fall down and cry.

"Athena honey." I open my eyes and sit up trying to process what's going on. A nurse is shaking me. "Athena, its ok, your safe I promise." "What's happening, what's going on?" I ask as I'm kicking myself up toward the headboard of a bed. "Everything's fine I've just come to give you some news about your sister." The only source of light is the light from the window and the light from out in the hallway. Its dark but not too dark I can't see anything. Everything has a light appearance on it from the light.

When the nurse said that I started hoping for the best but knew better than to get my hopes up to much. I just had to expect the worst. "Is she dead?" I ask. "No sweetie, she's fine for now. The doctor has her on some lidocaine to keep her asleep. There is no guarantee that she will survive but we are all optimistic that she will." "When can I see her?" I ask. "Hopefully in a few days when the doctor takes her off the lidocaine. For now, we want to give her as much time to heal as possible so she's not in too much pain when she wakes up," The nurse replied, "I will come get you as soon as the doctor says you can come visit her." With that the nurse left and I was left with my thoughts.

I can't believe that my sister might actually survive. I am overwhelmed with joy and sorrow. I feel really bad that I put her through this. If only I hadn't tried leaving. I can't think about that right now though. So instead I turned on the television in my room that I was in and started thinking about better things such as what I might say to Naomi when I can go see her.
