Well, a therian is a person who feels non-human and spiritually identifies themselves as an animal, who is their theriotype. Reasons for this can be:
Rencarnation: the person used to be an animal then when they died became human
Misplaced Souls: the person believes their soul belongs to an animal but was put into a human's body for mistake
That's all the causes for therianthropy I can remember. I still haven't got any memories from my animal life, so in my case it might be Misplaced Souls. But then we have the types of shifting and a few other things.
Shifts.
Phantom Shift: person begins to feel astral limbs from their theriotype (ears, tail, paws) and is able to control them, however no one else can see them but other therians can feel they're there
Mental Shift: person starts thinking with their theriotype's mindset
Dream Shift: person becomes their theriotype in a dream
That's as far as I'll say, if you want the others listed look them up on Google. There are also different types of therians, and levels of shifting.
Shifting levels.
Full shift: the person acts and thinks like their theriotype thoroughly
Medium shift: the person acts and thinks mostly like their theriotype, but knows they're human physically not spiritually, as if in half-human and half-animal
Barely shift: the person knows clearly they are physically human, but feels a bit like their animal
Those are the three levels I know. As for therian types...
Therian types.
Standard Therian: most common therian, has one theriotype
Polytherian: therian who has multiple theriotypes
Non-Shifting Therian: is a therian but does not experience shifts
Constant Therian: therian who experiences little shifts in rare times
That's it for the chapter, next chapter will explain Awakening, tips and facts, while after that we'll see my own experiences.
