Chapter 4
There was a knock at her door when she was at the pantry looking at what to eat for brunch since she forgot to eat. She curiously opened the door. There was no one there she looked to see who it was. There was only people in the neighborhood walking to the market or to there house. She finally thought people were playing ding dong ditch. She finally looked down there was a letter there. She quickly brought it to the table and opened it very courageously it was her first letter there after all.
Dear Alice how would you like to join Dimila, Ageltrude, the Mayor,Angmar, your neighbor that told you about Ageltrude's power meet us at the well at noon tomorrow,
Sincerely a friend
A friend, who was a friend? She decided to go to the well to wait for Dimila. She waited for 20 minutes then Dimila came. Dimila had a bag with her.
"What's in the bag?" Alice asked.
"A present for the mayor It's he's birthday you know, come on" she said as she walked.
"There town hall is a couple of blocks away from here, then we will have the tour of the town". As they walked to the town hall Alice saw all different stores and houses all sorts of things on the way. When they finally got there they went to the secretary.
" This is a present for the Mayor"
" Go ahead Dimila and who are you?"
" Alice Salsan"
" let's go" Dimila said. They walked through the doors and there was a person shaking the Mayors hand and saying bye. The Mayor saw them for a second and said
" Dimila what a lovely surprise see you here, who's your friend?"
" this is Alice and we have your gift she helped me bought it and it's perfect" Dimila exaggerated. She quickly gave him the present. He opened it with a smile.
" It's perfect I should have birthdays more often, thank you both so much! Ohh this is Renard one of my best guards I heard he hit Farence in the face several times". At the news Alice turned around and walked away in disbelief. She walked all the way home jogging. When she got home she jumped on her bed and thought it through. He was pretty far he must of been waiting for him or looking. Thinking about him made her more mad and sad at him. After Dimila finished talking with the Mayor she didn't see Alice it was just her, the Mayor and Renard. She asked the Mayor if he'd see when Alice left, he said when he told her about Renard. 4 down and 4 to go she thought sadly.
