It had been five years since Lynette had lived on Wisteria Lane. For a large portion of that time she was enjoying her life as a hotshot CEO. Like with everything, however, it became increasingly more tiresome.
"I'm so tired of the same thing everyday," she had explained to her husband, Tom, who of course did not understand. He after all gets to raise the kids, which is what she longs to do.
Tom scoffed, then chuckled. "Honey, this is the life we always wanted," he reached in to hug her, and she hesitantly agreed. "How long did we fight to get a life like this?" She looked at Lynette, who was now beginning to cry from the mixture of emotions. "Now we are finally out of suburbia. You're living your dream life. And I'm living mine."
Lynette did not like anything of her life. In truth, she didn't like it from the moment she stepped off the lane, but she thought over time she'd grow to at least halfway despise life away from suburbia. Instead, it's just grown worse: she misses the cool, crisp air of suburbia, the drama, the gossip, just basically everything she had once despised. She had seen that the grass was not greener on the otherside. She made a decision. "I am handing in my resignation as CEO tomorrow, and we are moving back."
Tom looked as if he wanted to protest this decision and try to make a compromise, but something in him knew his wife felt way too strongly about this to be up for any suggestions.
He shrugged his shoulders as a result, then surrendered. "Fine. I don't care. But don't expect any of us to be happy."
Lynette smiled, said "that's the spirit" then got a notepad out.

Gabrielle had longed for a different type of life ever since her channel was pulled from the Home Shopping Network. She knew Carlos had to pick up all the slack and get a menial job to pay the bills, and she knew as a result they had to move in to a dingy apartment, but that wasn't quite the reason why. She felt increasingly nostalgic as the times flew by. Wisteria Lane came with its fair share of issues, but she knew it was the best place she'd ever lived in her whole life and she wasn't afraid to admit that.
When she explained this to Carlos, he looked shocked then taken aback. "I worked to provide for this family over here, and that's all you have to say for yourself!" Carlos had shouted.
"I'm just tired of living a humdrum, unhappy life," Gabrielle defended herself. She was unhappy. She was unfulfilled. She needed to cure this.
"I don't care!" Carlos croaked, shaking and ready to sob himself. He felt as if all his work was for nothing. "You sit around and do nothing while I go to work everyday, slaving away!"
"I deal with our bratty children on a daily basis. I make sure they have everything they need. Without me, they wouldn't have the basic needs!" Gabrielle shouted, becoming increasingly angry. "So don't give me all that you're high and mighty crap!"
"We're not moving," Carlos laid down the law, feeling confident.
"It's either you scrape up the cash by this weekend, or I'm taking the kids myself and going to Wisteria Lane." Gabrielle threatened. Carlos looked hurt. "You are not playing games with me! I'm unhappy! I'm unfulfilled! That's all there is to it! You can find a job there, you can make ends meet there. The option is not a fantasy. It's a reality. And it's going to happen. This weekend."

Bree felt hurt and betrayed by her coworkers who were not treating her the same as before the whole revelation of what she had done became public. She explained this to her husband Trip who didn't quite understand.
"I get called filthy names. I think it's time for a move," she admitted. Trip didn't want this and she could see this in his eyes. "We have no choice."
Trip had pulled as many strings as he could to try to overshadow what Bree had done, but nothing seemed to work. It had occurred to him, too, that maybe a relocation was in order.

It never dawned on Susan that she would have to nurse her mother's wounds. Then again, of course she had always underestimated her mother and her ability to get herself in trouble.
Sophie looked at her daughter with tears streaming down her face. She didn't know what to do. She was lost.
She knew what had to be done, but she didn't want to do it - even if it was for her own mother. "Mom, we have to move away. I know it's hard," Sophie began wailing, feeling horrible for what she had done and even worse for putting her daughter in such an uneasy position. "But we just have to. There's no other choice."
Sophie looked up at her, a slightly hopeful and still depressed look on her face, the streams of tears lessening. "Really? You'd do that for me?" She sniffled, clearing her nose and wiping the tears from her cheeks.
"Isn't that what family's for?" Susan smiled, parting her mother's hair back over her shoulders.

Renee and Ben look at their children. "Isn't it so sweet what we created?" She smiled fondly, and gushed. "I mean, who knew something that beautiful could come from us two?" They cackled.
Just then, a knock rang from downstairs. They walked down, and opened the door. "What are you doing here?" They both said at the same time.

Roy looked at a picture of his late wife Karen and began to sob, but he raised the beer bottle to his face and stifled his tears with the continual chugs of liquid.
His phone rings. He answers it. "Hello?" He slurs impatiently. "Who is this?" He looks shocked. "What are you doing calling me?" He looks even more shocked. He puts down his beer bottle and hangs up the phone then immediately goes to sleep.
