Arriving at Paramour Heights High, I spotted Willow's matte black Ferrari. She was standing in the vacant spot next to it glaring and flipping the bird to all the students trying to park there. I smiled, shit, she was funny. Willow spotted my car and waved. Stepping aside as I parked, she flipped off the guy in the car behind me. Climbing out of my car with a coffee, she met me at my door.
"You better have another one of those for me." She stated, looking at the coffee in my hand before glaring at me.
I smirked, taking a fake drawn out sip of her coffee; she glared hard before lunging at the cup. Snatching it out of my hand, she took a sip, closing her eyes and humming in approval. I burst out laughing, turning back to my car and grabbing my coffee, donuts and bag. "Wake up on the wrong side of the bed, huh, Will?" I said sarcastically as she opened her eyes, her glare was still full force. "Here, I'm sorry about leaving you with Pey," I paused giving her a fake sneer, "I'm not really all that sorry, Will. Paybacks a bitch." Smiling sarcastically, she flipped me off before taking the donuts I held out to her.
Willow rolled her eyes, laughing. "I'm use to it now, Gray. As long as you keep bringing me donuts and coffee as payment, we're good." She turned and started making her way to the front doors of the school. Jogging to catch up, I fell in step beside her, subtly checking the parking lot for Talon and Zeke's cars. I frowned not seeing them. Willow saw my look and shaking her head she whispered, "They're not here, yet." Where were they then? My frown deepened, real subtle Graycee. Willow laughed, "You're frowning, Gray. It's easy for me to know who you're looking for. Best friend remember."
I rolled my eyes, "Like you'd let me forget, Will."
Willow was wearing her signature black tank and black leather skirt. She finished the look with knee high socks and combat boots. I suppose black being her favorite color worked in her favor. It made her blue eyes pop and her pastel purple hair stand out. She was seriously gorgeous and one of the biggest flirts I knew, Zeke being the other. Willow was half sarcastic, half bitch and when you put both together, you had one whole Sarcastic Bitch. She was crude and blunt and I loved it, loved her. She just didn't care most of the time, we were similar like that. Willow and I became friends in middle school, she was new and I was a loner. One day she sat with me at lunch, stole my donut and told me we were going to be best friends. Peyton became our friend not long after. She was shy, dorky and her parents weren't rich. Her mom was a primary school teacher and her father a mechanic. They were a normal, caring family. Something I didn't know anything about.
Peyton was leaning on her locker when we rounded the corner. Brown hair swept up in a high ponytail, her cheerleaders uniform tight in all the right places and short, really short. She was concentrating on her phone, her fingers tapping the screen a hundred miles a minute, her glossed lips turned down in a small frown, whatever, she was a little melodramatic sometimes. OK, most of the time.
Peyton's head snapped up as we stopped in front of her, the frown on her face previously, was now replaced with a genuine smile, "Hey guys," She turned to me, "how are you feeling Gray? You left pretty early last night." her tone was caring, a little suspicious but caring none the less. That's what I loved about Peyton; she wasn't screwed up, not like Willow and definitely not like me. Peyton was caring and happy, always so happy that I wondered why she was even friends with us. Although, everyone had their flaws, Peyton loved gossip and guys, mostly the latter. Being a cheerleader, she was also -unfortunately- friends with Kaylee, so telling her about Talon and I wouldn't be happening anytime soon.
"I'm feeling way better today," I grinned at her, "So how's Ryland, Pey? A bitchy birdie told me you guys were making out last night?" Her blush was full force by the time I finished speaking. Willow snorted, shoving the rest of her donut in her mouth. I draped my arm around Peyton's shoulder, "Aww, Peyyy." I laughed, "You're so cute."
