Can you please tell me whether you like this version or the version in the next chapter better?
I have written this chapter in two ways, and I am in doubt over which writing style I should use. I would love to hear your opinion about it!

~~ District Court - Defendant Lobby No. 2 ~~
Lily: No need to worry, everything will be alright!
Victor: Easy for you to say... You're not the one who took on her defense. You only convinced me to do it.
Lily: Stop that, Victor! You've been saying that ever since this morning.
Victor: Because it was this morning that I got the job of defending her in Court.
Lily: Well, anyway, it is not nice for her to keep saying that you don't believe you can win this!
Victor: Lily, this is my first trial ever. Why do I immediately have to defend someone accused of murdering someone else. Don't say you weren't nervous the first time.
Lily: Of course I was nervous, but you are overdoing it a little...
Victor: I'm not overdoing anything! If they had only let me search the crime scene...
???: Ehm...
The duo stops arguing and turns in the direction of the voice. The girl has lifted her head and tries to dry her tears using a polka-dotted handkerchief. She then looks up at Lily and Victor, smiling a watery smile. She continues in a thick voice.
???: I really want to thank you for taking on my defense. I know I am annoying sometimes, but I really really appreciate it that you believe in me.
Lily: Of course we believe in you. There is no way you could've done something like that.
Victor: And besides, you are our friend, Anya. We know you and we know you're innocent.
Anya: Thank you so much...
Victor: (My name is Victor Clever and I am a defense attorney for two days now. I currently work at the "Office of Justice", a law firm currently being managed by Rebecca Moore, who has been a mentor of the legendary Phoenix Wright. The Office of Justice actually belongs to me, but that is a long and complicated story that I will explain another time. Right now, there are more urgent cases.)
Victor looks at Anya's wet face and feels sorry for the girl. This morning, a murder has occurred in the nearby park. A man who jogs there every day has been shot in the forehead and Anya has been arrested. There was no one who saw her shoot him, but the gun was found in her hands, so the police immediately concluded she was the culprit. And now they are all here, in the Courthouse, for a trial Victor did not even get the chance to prepare for.
Victor: It's a pity we did not have time to investigate the crime scene.
Lily: That's because her aunt decided the trial had to be held the same day.
Victor: I was wondering about that. If she wants us to get a Not Guilty-verdict that badly, why didn't she give us time to prepare?
Lily: I have no clue.
Victor: (Anya is not just any kind of client. She just so happens to be the niece of the Boss, Rebecca. That's special thing number one. The second one is that the weapon the victim was shot with was evidence for another case in which the Boss was the Lead Attorney. It had been stolen from the office a few days ago. We were quite surprised to find it returned by the police, together with the message our friend had been arrested because of the gun. Rebecca appointed me to the case, even though I only just started as an attorney. Luckily, Lily volunteered to help me. And that's why we are all here now.)
At that moment, the door to the Defendant Lobby opens. The trio looks at who enter, and definitely did not expect the two visitors accompanying Rebecca Moore. Rebecca is followed by a famous man in a blue suit. His pointy hair would have stabbed the girl behind him if she was a little taller. Phoenix Wright and Maddie Lynn enter the lobby with a smile. Rebecca greets her niece, but does not say much after that. All eyes are directed towards Mr. Wright.
Lily: Hello, Mr. Wright! I didn't expect you here!
Victor: H-Hello, sir. (I wish I knew him as good as Lily does...) Oh, and hello to you, Maddie.
Maddie: Vicky! It is so great to see you!! A very much giga amount of luck on your first trial!!!
Victor: Thank you... very giga much... (Why did she have to be here of all people. If only Connor was here, then he could have acted as bait for me to get rid of our stalker.)
Phoenix: Hello, to both of you. Becca was planning on visiting you, so I thought: "Let's go with her to wish Victor good luck with his first trial." And then this young lady followed us after she heard me mention your name, Victor. Apparently, she had been searching for you for hours here.
Victor: T-Thank you, Mr. Wright. And yes, that sounds like Maddie.
Rebecca: Are you nervous, Victor?
Victor: ... Of course I am nervous! You all make it sound so easy, but what if I do something wrong?
Rebecca: Calm down, I know you want to impress the young lady here, and I know that makes it even more difficult to have complete confidence in yourself, but we all know you can do it.
Lily: And I am always there to help you!
Maddie: I am sure you will be great, Vicky!
Victor: ... Thanks, all of you. (Wait, when did I give them the idea I want to impress Maddie?)
Bailiff: Will the Defendant and the Lawyer please enter the Courtroom? The trial is about to start.
Phoenix: Ready to go free your client?
Victor: Yes, I think so.
Phoenix: I know a boy who likes to shout "I am fine!" at the beginning of every trial. Maybe you should do that.
Lily: Yes, that's the best thing I learned from Apollo. You really should do that.
Victor: Eh...
Maddie: COME ON, VICKY! I LOVE YOU!
Lily: LET'S GET A NOT GUILTY!
Victor: Yeah...
They all get up and make their way to the Courtroom. 'One more thing,' Rebecca says before they split up. 'A lawyer can only cry when it's all over, so you should smile until the end.'
