The creature lurched forward, carrying its wicked club with it. It was two men tall and three men wide, with a gray hide as thick as steel. Its mouth filled with sharp yellowed fangs. It carried its club effortly with its large muscular arms, each with the power to carry a fully grown tree. Its legs were like trunks, extending from below its large body. It looked like a massive goblin, a troll. I steadied my chield and held it with whatever strength I could muster. I was already weakened by hours of fighting, and now I would have to take this brute down.

It swung its massive club, I quickly jumped to the right as it crushed the ground where I had been standing. CRASH! It hit me with its other hand, sending me flying and shattering my shield completely. I groaned in pain as I stood up, my vision was blurred and my body fought against every move I attempted.  I held my spear tight.

The creature ran forward and swung its club sideways, I ducked and it missed me by inches, I could feel the very force of the strike through the wind. I took a step back, and not a moment later its hand filled the space that I had been in.

The creature swung forward, jaws wide open.  I twisted and spun my spear with me. CRACK! I felt my spear hit the side of the troll's nose. I pushed it harder and it embedded itself further into the creature's skull. The troll pulled away, shrieking and clawing at the spear. It took a hold of the spear and threw it to the side, broken.

The creature once again turned its attention to me, satisfied with a now weaponless target for him to destroy.

But it was mistaken to think that I could not harm it. He charged and so did I. At the last second before it clamped its jaws shut I let out a blast of wind, knocking it back. As the creature recoiled, I took my opporunity.

My hands glowed blue with energy and for a moment I felt as fresh as I had been when the battle began. I reached forward and out of thin air materialized a weapon of pure energy. I took ahold of it, its immense power sizzled the very air. With another blast of wind, I was in the air. I held the spear high and then threw it straight into the creature's mouth. I fell upon it, grabbing the spear as I dropped. In my other hand formed a blade of the same power and I sank it deep into the creature's neck.

I jumped off the creature and let the energy leave me. I suddenly felt as tired as I should have been. I watched as the spear and blade I sank deep into the troll's body sizzle into thin air and from the empty holes, blood spewed forth.

The troll cried in agony but its own voice was garbled by the blood in its throat. It drowned on its own blood. It feel forward, crashing into the bare ground. The very weight of the creatre shook the earth and I could barely stand against it. I won the battle but there was still a war to fight.
