Deans POV
Me and Sam went through the back door with Rachael tailing us. She shouldn't be here with her stomach and leg. It had only been two three days since I met her and she had already been hurt. I didn't know what to do with her after this hunt. I just didn't want to make the same mistake as my father.
As we walked in everything was silent. Rachael kept look over at me and Sam as if she was debating something in her head. I wondered what she was thinking when there was a sound above us. I looked up and suddenly the silence felt deadly, then six Djion jumped off the support beam above us. I was stunned and didn't realize there was one behind me about to make its move. Rachael noticed it and threw her knife at it from across the room. It pierced the Djion straight through it for head and it crumpled to the ground. I looked over at Rachael and nodded my thanks while pulling her knife out of the bloody body. As soon as I went to throw it to her it was ripped out of my hands and I was kicked in the back of my legs which made me lose my balance. I fell on my stomach and quickly flipped over just to see another Djion trying to touch me. I grabbed my knife and started to swing at it. I got a few good hits but couldn't kill it. Then it started to fall on me so I rolled to the side and saw that Rachael had kick it. She grabbed my knife, plunged into through its heart, and then went to the other side of the room to fight with no weapon.
She was surrounded so Sam and I started to kill them off. It seem like they were only after her. Rachael also seemed to be talking to one of them. It grabbed her and I realized it was the boy she was talking to earlier. He smirked at me and kisses her. I was so distracted by it that I didn't see the Djion coming behind me until it's hand was a few inches from my head. I turned around and shove my knife through the bottom of its mouth then turned around and stabbed the one holding Rachael through the heart. His body fell and she just watched it for a few seconds until she started to crumble to the floor.
I caught her and checked her pulse. She was still alive and seemed to only be sleeping. On her right rib was a bright blue handprint. It was all my fault. If I had noticed that Djion behind me she would still have a weapon and still be awake.
"Dean is she..." Sam said behind me trailing off not wanting to finish the sentence. I shook my head.
"No, she's only asleep. Let's take her over to Bobby's until she wakes up." I said with little faith. We slowly walked to the with her in my arms bridle style. She was light and I could feel her bones like she had not been eating. I felt like I had failed this kid.
We put her in the back seat of the Impala and drove as fast as we can to Bobby's. It was normally a three day drive but we could make it in one at the speed we're going. Sam fell asleep about three hours into the trip and I was left in silence. I looked over at my brother and chucked to myself when I realized that there was a faint pink blob on his forehead. I wondered if she was mad that I had yelled at her and if she hated me.
I decided to just push those thoughts out of my head and focus at the task at hand. Feeling just got in the way. I just couldn't help but to fear that I would turn into my dad. I just remember how he would alway argue with Sam then take his anger out on me. I didn't care if he yelled, cursed, or hit me as long as he didn't touch Sam. I hated him but still he was my idol. I used to think he hated me, that he thought I was a solider not a son, that I was just something to take his anger out on when he was drunk but then he died for me. The doctors said he died of a heart attack but I knew better. He traded his own life for mine but I still didn't forgive him.
We finally made it to Bobby's around ten the next afternoon. Sam had called ahead to let him know we were coming so he could set her up a place to put her well we researched how to fix her. We had already killed the Djion and tried the blood of the guy who killed her and nothing was working. Bobby greeted us at the front door.
"This her?" he ask in a gruff voice. I nodded and he motioned us inside. I had been holding Rachael bridle style and finally put her down on the couch then we hit the books.
Okay so I finally updated! This book is going to come to end soon but don't worry there will be another one in the future. I'm not going to put the apocalypse in like 5 chapters.
