When you woke, you slightly panicked not remembering where you were. You looked around and then remembered.
You looked down and saw a puppy, it was a little fluffy German Shepherd.
"A puppy!" You asked it, "where did you come from?" You heard a knock on your door. "Come in!" You called.
"Ah so you like your new pet? Because he's going to be trained to protect you with his life. Come, follow me."
You followed him near the end of the hallway, where he opened a door and showed you the inside. "This is where he'll be trained. See that armor?" He motioned to a suit of armor that would fit a full grown dog. "What's his name?" You asked him, curious about it.
"His name is up to you." He replied.
"I think his name should be..." You thought aloud, "Shade."
"That is a well suited name for him." Charred said. He reached up on a shelf a pulled down a collar with a small black crystal in the center. "If he wears this, he will be able to communicate with you. When he is ready, he will also wear this armor."
"Oh my gosh thank you so much!" You ran a hugged him before he nudged you away. "When will I be able to see the outside world again?" You asked curiously.
"When you are ready." He replied, obviously not wanting to talk about the subject. But you still wondered, 'was there other magical creatures? What does he mean by ready?' You walked back to your room with him, wondering about it for the rest of the day...
