New school, new town, new people. Nobody knows me, for now no one cares and I'm glad to be away from all that drama. I think as I walk in the doors of my new high school. I've been cooped up in my room all summer so it had been a while since I interacted with people but I still knew how to be socially appropriate.
I finally got out of orientation and went to my first class. Of course, sophmore math. The rest of my classes were appropriately freshmen. English, History, Science and I got into Basic Foods and Agricultural Science. I got out of Math and moved onto English class and sat down. I was still trying to adjust but then I saw him. He had short, brown hair, amazingly pretty brown eyes, he seemed fit enough and looked super friendly. I sat right next to him and he turned around and smiled.
"Hi. My name's Alec, you must be the new girl everyone is all hyped up about! Want me to show you around next period?" I must've been blushing pretty hard and his voice was so smooth and nice.
"I-I'd love that actually, but don't we have to head to class?" Stutter.... Fucking stuttered.....
"Well depends. What do you have?"
"I have....." I paused to check my schedule "Oh. I have Ag. How does it depend?"
"Well, I can show you around the school and a bit of the town or you can go and get talked to about the FFA for five minutes then sit there awkwardly because you've yet to make a friend."
"Sounds like a deal. Or instead of being preached to about Shakespeare, we can go now." I said, with a smirk.
"Oh-ho! I like the way you think girly, say, I didn't catch your name."
"Rose." I said, raising my hand to ask to go to the restroom. "Meet me by the freshie lockers." I said running off.
I put my books in my locker and waited. Two minutes later Alec comes strolling around the corner.
"There you are! Ready, Romeo?"
"I sure am! Let's start."
We were walking around the school and school grounds for hours just talking and getting to know each other. Eventually lunch came along and I sat with him and his friends. They all loved me like a little sister and they were all like my older brothers. All of them were in some sport or another and I wasn't. But I primised to go to every game and support them all. I mean, I've got to support the only friends I have, no matter how much of a girl I am.
