My fingers fumbled with the necklace he gave me. I sat there, on my bed, thinking about the boy I was with for two years. And how he could possibly cheat on me. Anger bubbled up inside me; I threw the necklace at the wall. The locker shattered at impact. I saw a pair of gentle hands pick it up and throw it away. "He really hurt you," Mariah spoke softly as she made her way next to me on my bed. "Nah Riahh, my two year long boyfriend cheats on me, then dumps my ass for the tramp that found her way into his bed. I'm just peachy, how about you?" I probably could've found a better way to say it, but the words were already out of my lips. Mariah hugged me softly and replied, "He doesn't deserve your tears love. Cmon let's go nonchalantly flirt with the hot guy at Hot Topic." I laughed and nodded, "ok, but you're paying!" "AS IF!" She scoffed as she scooted off my bed. We giggled walking out my room.

I stepped outside after Riahh; wind stung at my cheeks as it blew hair into 50 million directions. I locked the door and put my hat on. I shivered and rubbed my arms for warmth. "Those few years in Oklahoma made you immune to the Virginia cold Ri," I complained. "Wimp!" Riahh shot back. I smiled and shook my head and jogged to catch up with her. We walked side by side exchanging small talk about how much we hated my ex, the hot guy at hot topic, how badly Ri wanted to get away for awhile.

As we walked down the sidewalk, a giant purple monster ran out of a yellow house just in front of us. Right behind him followed a tall gorgeous man dressed in a dark blue suit, a red tie, sand colored converse, glasses, and a tan trenchcoat. He held some weird device in his hand as he chased the creature into the street. "Oi! You come to this planet and terrorize these people, these wonderful humans, you have me to deal with!" I didn't know what I was seeing; some British dude was chasing a purple monster-like creature, saying things like, "you come to this planet." Could it be possible this thing was not from Earth, like an alien? I didn't usually believe things like that, but I couldn't deny what was right in front of me.

The creature talked back in its weird alien language. The man just laughed and replied, "I'm not afraid of your little threats!" "What?! You freakin speak his gibberish language?! Did you take Alien 101 freshman year or something?!" I blurted out without thinking. Everyone's eyes were now on me, including Riahh's, whose were bulging from disbelief. "Oi, when did you two get here?" Before I had a chance to speak, the alien had me in its grasp. Its claws had a tight grip on my neck, causing me to not be able to breathe. I grabbed at its claws, but it was no use. Quickly the man said, "what in the world is that?" The alien looked behind him, looking for whatever the man was talking about. While it was distracted I ran behind the man, my hero.

The alien snapped his head back, angered. Suddenly the man pointed his device at a wire, which caused it to spark into the rain water on the ground. The spark in the water electrocuted the alien and he fell back into the water. I jumped up from behind the man and ran over to the alien. "You killed it?!" I exclaimed angrily. "Just cause it's mean doesn't mean ya kill it!" He just smirked at my rant, which made me confused. Shouldn't he be mad or something? "He's not dead, just temporarily put out. But I like your spunk." He walked up to me and looked down at the alien. "Well I better get this back to the TARDIS." I looked at him confused as he picked up the alien and started to walk away. I looked over at Riahh with a puzzled look on my face and she just shrugged. "The what?" I asked following him as Riahh followed behind.

He didn't answer; we just kept on walking until we came upon this big blue police box. Was he going to put the alien in there? And then what? Was he just going to drag it out somewhere and ship it back into space. The man reached for his pocket and pulled out a key. He then proceeded to open the door and walk inside the box. How did he fit in there with the monster? The box wasn't that wide, tall sure, but not very spacey. I walked around and just as I thought, impossible to fit. I circled back in front and peeked through the door. And that's when I saw it, I saw an almost intimately large room inside the box. I walked in slowly, motioning Riahh to follow me in. I looked around, speechless. I could swear this room was bigger on the inside. I went back outside and walked around the box, it couldn't fit more than a single person inside. I walked back inside; still as big as a house. Bigger then my house in fact.

"It's, uhh, bigger on the inside?" I asked confused. Riahh brought her hand to her chest and sighed in relief. "Oh thank God, I'm not the only one. I thought I was tripping on something." I laughed a little, and turned my head back to the strange man. "Time Lord science," he spoke so  nonchalantly. "Time Lord?" I asked, this guy was udder nonsense. He failed to answer my question, again. instead he pressed a couple buttons and pulled a couple levers on what seemed to be the control board to this weird box thing. the box stated to project this weird noise and suddenly it felt like it was moving. "Holy crap!" Riahh shouted as she jolted to the side. She steadied herself and looked at me with a confused expression on her face. I awkwardly smiled at her and looked back at the man. Before I could say anything the box came to a bumpy stop.

The man picked up the alien and opened the door. I followed after him out into the strangest place I had ever seen. We obviously weren't on Earth anymore. "But ho-" I started to say before being cut off. "Tell your friends, your family, your species, your planet to think twice before trying to do anything or even come near to Earth again." The alien scuttled off and the man walked back inside. I closed the for behind me as I walked in after him. "WHO ARE YOU?!?!" I screamed at him. "I'm the Doctor,"he said flatly. The doctor? He couldn't even give me a name? "Doctor who?" I asked angrily. "Just the Doctor," he replied. "What do you mean just the Doctor?" I asked, getting even angrier. "Just that, just the Doctor." "You have a real name?" "Of course," he replied. "Then what is it?" I asked trying to be calmer. He stared at the control console with pain in his face. "You can just call me Doctor." I decided to leave it alone; it seemed to be painful for him to talk about. "Well, I'll drop you of back where we met. Sound good?" he asked. He seemed to be better since I let it go.

We arrived back at the house where we first saw him. Riahh walked up to me and said, "I don't want to go to the mall anymore." I nodded in agreement and she left the box. I walked up to thee Doctor, "what is this box thing?" I asked softly. "The TARDIS. Time And Relative Dimensions In Space." I smiled, it was absolutely brilliant. "And what are you? No human would refer to humans as 'these wonderful humans.'" The Doctor smiled and said "I'm a time lord, from the planet Galifrey. I travel through out time and space, helping however I can." I smiled big and asked, "will I see you again?" "Seeing me involves... well let's just call it as adventure," he explained. "I like adventure, afraid to take me along Time Lord?" I asked. The Doctor laughed and replied, "see you tomorrow Miss...?" "Alex... Alex Burke" I answered. "Well Alex Burke, your adventure starts tomorrow! Haven't had an American companion in forever..." I laughed and left. Quickly the strange noise erupted from the TARDIS again as it faded from behind me. I knew I was going to like this cheeky boy. Cmon time lord, take me away in your big blue box.
