Detour

Shawn held my hand until we got to his car. "Eww your hands are all sweaty" I said while a wiped my hands on him." He just laughed and open the passenger door for me and motioned for me to get in. Than he got into the car and looked at me with a huge smile on his face. I was blushing so bad. "Why are you looking at me like that?" I said shyly. His face turned bright red. "Sorry your just so beautiful"Shawn replied. I smiled like a child opening presents on Christmas Day. "Thanks. Let's get going" I said a little nervous. He looked at me with a confused look on his face. "I need your address" said Shawn sounding a little serious. I told him my address and we drove out of the parking lot. Shawn could tell I was nervous so he turned on the radio and treat you better came on. I tried so hard not to sing it and he could tell. "You can sing it"he said. I started singing and tapping to it and Shawn joined in. We the song was done I stared out the window and saw familiar street signs. My palms started to get sweaty and my heart started beating super fast. I started feeling really dizzy. "Shawn I don't feel good. I can't do this"I said nervously. Shawn pulled into a restaurant and looked at me. "Okay than lets go on a date and than do it? Shawn said confidently. "A date?" I said in a questioning tone." He laughed. "Yes A date" he answered. I smiled. "Okay but what if fans see us?" I said worried. Shawn signed. "Don't worry about that beautiful." I got out of the car and so did Shawn . He came up next to me and grabbed my hand. We walked into the restaurant hand and hand. "OMG it's Shawn Mendes"  the waitress said excitedly. "Shit." Shawn mumbled and let go of my hand. My happiness slowly disappeared after that. The waitress walked us to our table and took our orders. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and Shawn ordered a cheese burger. As we were eating I thanked Shawn. "Thank you so much for taking me out" I said with a slight smile plastered on my face. Shawn could tell that there was something wrong by the expression on my face. "Princess what's wrong ?" I looked at the table and played with my food. "Nothing. I was just upset that you let go of my hand earlier. Sorry I know it's a stupid thing to be upset about. It's just that I feel safe when holding your hand." Shawn laughed and smiled. "I'm sorry I didn't realize I let go. And don't apologize for being cute." I giggled and he laughed. We finished eating and paid the bill. We walked out of the restaurant like we did when entering it. We got in his jeep and started driving to my house again.
