Unlike the movies, the sky decided to not match my mood. It was one of the brightest days I had ever seen, but it was the saddest day of my life. My Father had died. He was a Time Lord-Human meta-crisis, and that is just impossible.
They didn't tell me much about what a Time Lord was, just that I was part of one. My Mother said she wanted me to have a normal life. She didn't want me to be caught up in the drama that my Father had once lived. I never quite agreed with her on that.
My Father never liked black, and yet, we were all are wearing it anyway. It was my first heartbreak. My Mother cried through the whole thing and I decided that I never wanted to be that sad again.
Everyone came up to my Mother and I, saying they were sorry for our loss, but they never really meant it. I could see it in their eyes. My father was never a popular person. Everyone thought he was strange. As was I, I suppose. I never had any friends. They were all too idiotic to understand me.
The black coffin, which my father's unmoving body laid inside of, descended down into the dirt. Never to be seen by any of us again. Before my Father died, he told me not to be sad. I always had trouble listening to him. When he died, I think a part of me died as well. I was never quite the same after that.
It wasn't 'til a year later, that I saw him again.
