We search from a distance

Long roads twisting with heartache

Guiding us to a moment

where suddenly we meet

A fleeting glance

ignites a spark

A conversation, quick but deep

I am taken with you

Your brown eyes inviting

asking me to learn, to know

Request for your number

my stomach filled with butterflies

Anticipation as I wait, watching

Smile creeps to your lips

you reach out to take my phone

A slight graze from your fingers

send my heart racing as I watch

Smile growing bigger, I look to find

your number is there, waiting

The sun slowly rising I take your hand

a small kiss to your palm, I say goodnight

Waking from a disturbed slumber

your beauty haunting my dreams

I reach for my phone, gather my courage

Hearing your voice I pause

I am struck with fear, anticipation

I ask you

Would you like to go to dinner tonight?

My body melts, my smile beams

Hurrying my pace I dress and re-dress

I am going to be late

I check my hair, I change again

Finally I am gone, flying out the door

On my way to you

Long hair, long legs, knowing eyes

I open the door, pull out your chair

We are talking, laughing, it is easy

I have longed for this comfort

Long conversations

We both love dancing

Tonight we go for a walk

ending at my door as I guide you inside

A kiss, slow and cautious, catching fire

Lower you to my bed, gently

arching your back, entering

we are euphoric
