Hi Everybody! What’s up? Please Comment and tell me what you think!!!
I paced outside waiting for me ride. They said they would be back in a minute, it’s been thirty. I huffed and slung my backpack over my shoulder. Right when I was about to start walking, Angel came up to me.
“Come on! Let’s go!” She waved towards me and I laughed, rushing over to her. She hopped in her car and I did the same. “Oh wait! Put this in your room!” Angel handed me her bag full of clothes. I sprinted out of the car and threw it on the dining room table.
“Done!!” I said, giggling a little bit.
“Hi Laura.” Angel’s mom said, turning her head towards me smiling.
“Hey Kelly. Thanks for the ride!” I smiled back at her. She backed out of my driveway and started to drive towards school.
“Hey, did you get fatter?” Angel asked looking at my stomach. I tried not to smile or laugh.
“It’s a pillow, it’s a pet, and it’s a pillow pet!” I unzipped my jacked and popped my mini penguin pillow pet out. “I’m tired so I’m going to go to sleep in first period.” I grinned at her and she laughed.
“Look what I brought!” Angel pulled a toy horse with a monkey on it. She wound it up and it started bucking up and down. We both laughed.
The tired squealed to a stop as Kelly stopped for us.
“Bye!” Both I and Angel said at the same time. We hopped out and slung out backpacks over our shoulders. We skipped into Eastland Texas Middle School.
“Hey y’all, what’s up?” I said as soon as I got into the building. My Texas accent was strong and easily noticeable. I swung my locker open and threw my backpack in. Angel did the same. We saw Sean walk down the hall, not seeing us. Both me and Angel got behind her and started following her.
She stopped and turned around and we bumped into her. We copied her. “What are you two doing?” She asked, emphasizing the ‘What’.
“Were not following you, no…” Angel said, locking her lips together to keep from busting out laughing. Shyanne came up behind Sean and covered her eyes with her hands.
“Gah!” Sean said, falling backwards a bit. She spun around, catching Shy’s hands. “Gotcha.” We laughed.
I and Angel walked into the cafeteria looking for Ciara.
“But I don’t want to do it!” I complained to Angel.
“Do what?” I forgot that Angel didn’t know about the deal.
“I made a deal with Ciara that if she joined my game in Halo that I will not hide my accent all day.” I sighed. People are going to make fun of me, I just know it.
“Sucks for you!” Angel laughed at me. I grumbled something that I think was curse words. Not really sure because I think it was gibberish.
“Oh Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaura!” Ciara squealed at me while skipping down the hall.
“Crap…” I mumbled.
“You have to do it!” She screamed in my ear. It started ringing.
“Fine I’m doing it!” I unleashed the Texas accent.
“Whoa…” Both Ciara and Angel said at the same time.
“Yeah yeah, let’s just go.” I started to walk away. Robby walked by my and I saw out, of the corner of my eye, that Angel was staring at him while he walked past her. I couldn’t help but laugh.
“Shut up.” Angel spit at me. I laughed even louder. We walked back into the middle school building and sat down on the floor against the wall.
Taylor Murray came walking down the hall. My heart raced. I really like Taylor. I mean, were both perverted and both shy. How better can it get than that? I don’t care if guys are hot or not.
“Hey Laura.” Taylor said, walking up to me and sitting down beside me. I could already feel the blood rushing to my cheeks.
“Ask her out!” Ciara whispered to him. My face flushed bright red. I looked down at my feet, trying to hide my face.
“I’ll stab you.” He threatened her. He sighed and gathered up all his courage. “So Laura, You want to go out?” My face froze as he said that. He’s really asking ME out?! Why me?! I mean I’m the lowest person in our grade! Why is he asking me out? He could easily go for the popular girls. I mean, he doesn’t ask Ciara and she’s a lot prettier than me, with her shoulder length black hair, her deep blue eyes and her attitude. She isn’t scared of anything, but neither am I.
I’m the tomboy of the school, have never worn makeup, never will. I love to have fun, but I also am a hopeless romantic. All I really want is love. Just someone to cuddle with me, someone to hold me.
“Umm, Laura…? Hello?” Taylor looked concerned and had his hand waving in front of my face. My face turned deep red. I didn’t know so much time had passed.
“Hmm?” I asked, sounding completely clueless.
“You want to go out?” His grin widened.
“Sure.” I smiled at his when I said it. His lips formed a grin. I heard Ciara whisper to Angel something that sounded like Okay, the first step is holding hands, and I’ll get them to hold hands. I slapped her arm.
“Ow! What was that for!?” She screamed at me, slapping my arm back.
“Girls, girls, calm down.” DeEllen said, putting her hands between us to keep from getting into a cat fight.
“Hmph, you’re so mean Ciara.” I huffed at her. Right after I said that, the bell rang.
