My life is performing, acting is my thing. I love to get up there and show people up and be someone else! My life isn't perfect and it's never gonna be but drama makes my life bare able.

My name is Summer.

One boring and average assembly the new young, perky female teacher from Brazil takes centre stage.

"Good morning, students. I hope you all are having a wonderful day and from what I see we all are. At 1:30 I am holding a meeting in the school hall about recruiting some children for our upcoming school production. They will be expected to act as well as keep their grades up!"

Ideas flooded into my head the weird smiley lady from Brazil might have just saved my life. My drama class is finished for the year which means I have heaps of time on my hands and everyone knows I can do it. I may as well try!

"Summer, are you trying out for the drama production? You'd do really well." I turn around to face Drake. A guy from the year below. How does he know I love acting? Geez, word travels fast.

"Of course. What do you think?" I need to keep up this image. Think about it if little kids know teachers must! COME ON ITS MY LIFE!!

"Summer can you stay back. I need you to help me........"

I don't let Mrs Holmesbury finish her sentence, I'm out the door and running far away. Where's her classroom anyway? I see a sea of trillion people.

"Good Morning, students. Over the next two weeks we will be working together to achieve our dreams and create the basis for our school production, as well as have some fun."

A few boys turn and look at each other as if the only reason they came here was for the girls and that girls mightn't even be enough to keep them there.

"Well, let's begin a long lunchtime of information."

It was amazingly boring! No one, really cared. Finally it came down the signing up for auditions and things.

I put my name down to play a role as a female nerd.

Apparently our scripts were to be delivered that afternoon! I wasn't going to focus in Math if I was waiting for a piece of paper with my future and potential happiness scribbled over it.

"So, as you see........"

Yes, I was right there was no way I was going to focus. It's hard enough to focus with a teacher as bland and boring as Mrs Glendale.

There were three sharp knocks on the door. My head darted quickly changing my line of sight. I scanned the person down quickly! The voice began speaking.

"My beautiful drama kids, come and take a script darlings. I will see you in two weeks for an audition!"

YES!

My life was perfect. Nothing gets better then this. I was so excited that I was beginning to become dizzy and unable to stand straight! I was also scared! What if I don't make it and SHE does! I hate HER! Little miss perfect!

The next two weeks, nothing matters. Grades, boyfriend, friends, popularity, family, nothing and when I said nothing I meant NOTHING!!

I was practicing all the time, when walking home, in exams, at lunch, on the weekends.

It was funny, we had a math exam which I was going to fail anyway because I wasn't listening the day the scripts were being handed out. Inside my math dictionary was a copy of the script. I was memorising every line getting EVERYTHING perfect.

The day rolled around and I was very scared. It was the first day I noticed that my friend was also trying out for a part, not the same one as me of course!

The parts were: Host, female nerd, male nerd, 4 dumb blondes, 3 gym junkies, 3 sporty girls and three directioner girls!

My turn came around and I stood centre stage with my nerdy glasses on! I didn't need a script because I knew every line, every pause, every everything!

"Hello,

My name is Summer Winterfield and today I will be trying out as a female nerd." I stuttered.

"Go for it, Summer!"

So I did.

"Why do I want to be on race around the world? That's not a very stimulating or complex question but let me attempt to answer you in a manner you will hopefully undertsand......."

I went on for about 2 mins and everyone's eyes were on me the whole time! Waiting, watching, trying to look for flaws or miss said parts but they couldn't find any!

" Summer, I am going to accept you immediately! On the terms that you get better grades then your last F in math. Step up your game, Summer."

I nod and exit the stage left, I only JUST got in! My grades have been left to suffer! I'm such and idiot!

I have a rehearsal tomorrow and a new script to learn and another test to study for! WHAT SHOULD I DO?

When I got home, Mum was already there. She knew about me F and being the mum she was she understood that drama will always come first!

"How was it?" She asked calmly sipping an iced coffee.

"I got the part." I mumble

"Then WHY are you upset? Is it too much work because you've been in productions before." Yeah, mum might be chilled and fun but she doesn't do support and love and crap!

"My F almost lost me the part. My grades need to improve NOW or I'm dead and when I mean dead I mean DEAD!"

I figure that half and hour of study followed by half an hour of practice followed by half and hour of milkshakes with my friends and boyfriend works out pretty nicely! Everyone is happy teachers, me and my friends and boyfriend.

The next days practice is mostly getting to know each other and the crew.

"Hi, I'm Ethan." One of the crew members smiled at me. He was tall with curly blonde hair and insane blue eyes!

"I'm Summer. Nice to meet you."

I was quite fond of Ethan and admired him for his friendliness but......
