Dialogue prompt: "Sir, we're surrounded."
"Excellent! That means we can attack in any direction."
My shoe stuck to the ground in some soft material. Pulling it out in aggravation, I cursed at the situation I was in.
My men and I were forced to escape into the enemy's territory a couple hours ago. Just a couple more and we would be back home in our cozy little beds. The problem was that I only had ten men in my platoon who as inept as a bunch of scalywaggs. And now, I had bear dung stuck to the bottom of my pristine black boot.
"Sir?" I ignored the pipsqueak lad as I scrapped my boot on an old spruce tree. Why did this have to happen to out platoon? I knew many more generals who deserved this kind of fate.
A couple more nervous squeaks from some of the others had me growling. "What!?!"
"Sir, we're surrounded." I glanced around to see men hiding behind trees like the cowards they were. Then, others stepping up to fight.
My eyes widened as I flashed a toothy smile. This was the remedy I needed, a bloody fight. "Excellent! That means we can attack in any direction!"
