"Hi, Asshie!" screamed Ian, Ashleys nephew. "Oh, wow Ian. You've gotten so big! How old are you, 9 or 10?" "I'm only 6 Auntie Asshie! You're silly."
Poor Ian. His family died in a car wreck. He was the only one to survive. His sister, May, covered his body with hers and well... you know how the rest goes. Of course, Ian doesn't know that. He just thinks mommy is on vacation. He asks everyday when he will see mommy again. And everyday I reply with, "I don't know, buddy. But she's happy." Then he asks, "Why wasn't she happy here, Aunt Asshie?" And I break down crying. Stop, I tell myself. Be strong for Ian. But it's not easy, is it?
