Chapter 1 the beginning

Back in 2010 Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne all auditioned for the xfactor, they got so close to winning but they came third place after Rebecca Ferguson and the winner Matt Cardle. All of these cute cheeky guys thought that their dreams were officially over but while these teenagers were crying the judges had a discussion. Simon Cowell walked over and gathered them all together and gave them a record contract! If it wasn't for the judges marvellous idea 1D wouldn't be known to sing.

Then a few months later one direction released their first debut, what makes you beautiful, it became the top hit of the charts, one direction's star just kept on rising. And guess what , that was only the start!

Chapter 2

*their uk tour sold out in 12 minutes

*they won a Brit award for the best British single

*they performed at the nickelodeon kids choice awards

They have hit number 1 in America which is an amazing achievement! They have also played at venues across America, Australia and New Zealand on sell-out tours. They have also done a special massive world tour in 2013.

Harry Styles was born on the first of February 1994, so he is the youngest member of 1D.

His star sign is Aquarius.

And his home town is the village of Holmes Chapel in Cheshire!

Harry's favourite tv show is family guy.

His favourite bands are Coldplay and The Beatles.

His favourite movie is "Love Actually" but he says it's "Fight Club" to seem more manly.

Harry's fave song is "Free Falling" by John Mayer!

His strange hidden talents are playing the kazoo and juggling!!

He made a brief appearance in Ed Sheeran's unofficial music video for his single "Drunk"

When Harry was younger his hair was surprisingly straight !!

Harry hates mayonnaise!

He has a younger sister called Gemma.

Before he auditioned for the xfactor he wanted to be a lawyer!!!!!

Liam was born on the 29th of August 1993.

His star sign is Virgo.

Liam's home town is Wolverhampton.

He loves watching the toy story trilogy.

The movie "Marley and me" made him cry !!!(aww)

He'd like to invent a anti-spoons app for mobile phones!

Liam is a mega fan of boxing.

He is also a West Bromwich Albion football fan!

His favourite song is "happy birthday" as it means he gets to open presents.

He would love to go into space.

Liam does an amazing Kermit the frog impression.

Liam started crying during one of the bands performances of more than this.

Zayn was born on the 12th of January 1993.

His star sign is Capricorn.

Zayn's hometown is Bradford in West Yorkshire.

Zayn has a soft spot for intelligent girls.

Zayn can't swim.

NSYNC is Zayn's favourite band.

He supports Manchester United.

Doniya, Waliyha and Safaa are Zayn's 3 sisters.

Zayn didn't have a passport until he was in one direction !

He reckons he was a bit of a geek when he was little and when he was a youngster he collected comics.

When the boys get crowded in a small place Zayn always looks out for Niall because Niall gets claustrophobic.

Louis was born on the 24th of December 1991.

He is the eldest but the cheekiest out of 1D!

Louis and Harry are the only members out of 1D who have passed their drivings tests.
