🎈|LOUIS' POV|🎈

March 5, 4:58 p.m.

"Looks like your man is getting interested in someone else." Johnny blurts out with food in his mouth. I decided to hang at Steven's house after school and we were just sitting in the living room, on the couch. Harry has been hanging out with Daniel since his birthday. At first I didn't mind because I thought they were catching up, but now Harry's going out with him more often and even ignoring my calls and text messages. I know I shouldn't be jealous because Harry is mine, but, he doesn't even pay attention to me anymore.

"Had anything ever gone on between them?" Steve asks, leaning back against his couch. I sigh, shaking my head. Harry would have told me if they had. He doesn't keep secrets from me.

"I don't think so. He would have told me." I said. I see Shawn leaning over to whisper into my ear.

"Dude, he's been walking around, holding his hand, going to his house, ignoring you... You're telling me you think there's nothing going on with them?" Shawn says. I bite down on my bottom lip as I think about it. It's true. Harry and Daniel have been hanging out indefinitely every day practically since Daniel came back. Harry has ignored me, and has been holding hands with Daniel.

Don't let it get to your head, Lou. Harry loves you.

"Well, Harry missed him a lot and ya know, Danny was his best friend, his only best friend when Harry was younger. He finally has him back, so yeah, he's gonna spend lots of time with him." I explain. Although I'm speaking this truth to the guys, it feels as if I'm trying to convince myself this truth, and am failing in doing so. I let out a sigh again and just bury my head into my hands.

"Lou, are you blind? Harry's eyes bulge out of its sockets when Daniel's around. You remember at the party? He kissed him for God's sake! I think it's time to ya know... Finish what you started?" Johnny finally speaks. I turn my head, frowning as Johnny smirks at me with a lit cigarette between his fingers. He teases me with a wink and blows smoke from his lips. Again I shake my head.

The plan didn't sound too bad before I actually got to know Harry. It was just suppose to be a bet, a joke, a gamble, simply a game. I didn't expect this to happen. If I do this to Harry now, it'll kill him. He's been hurt his entire life. I just can't do this to him. Not now, not ever.

"No way, dude.." Tanner interrupts my thoughts. He sits up and stares at me, putting his beer down.

"You love him." He says subtly. After a second the guys chuckle as I look down.

"Yeah, right." Johnny chuckles, putting his bud out in the ashtray.

"Louis doesn't love that priss; do ya, Lou?" He smirks at me. I huff out a breath, standing up, heading to the hall. Before I knew what I was doing, I was dialing Harry and I put my phone to my ear. One ring. Two rings. Three rings. Four.

"Hi, Lou..." Harry voice sounds through the phone. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, feeling a smile spread along my cheeks.

"Hi, love." I say softly. The other end is silent and I know Harry is waiting for me to tell him why I called. I'm not sure why I called, I guess I just wanted to see if he'd actually answer.

"I miss you." My voice betrays my thoughts. I hear Harry let out a breath and I know he's smiling on the other end, which makes my smile widen.

"I miss you, too. Is that all you called for?" He says softly.

"Is that him?" I hear in the background. I frown, knowing it's Daniel. I huff out a breath as Harry breathes a small, "Yeah," back to him.

"Sorry, love. I'm at Daniel's. Can I call you later?" Harry asks sweetly. I sigh, feeling defeated.

The guys might be right.

"I, uhm, I guess." I say softly into the phone, running my hand through my hair.

"I'll see you tonight?" Harry suggests. I smile softly and nod, forgetting that he can't see me.

"Of course, love." My spirit lifts a bit from such a small and subtle promise.

"I love you." I say without thinking. He becomes silent on the other end and my eyebrows furrow. Has he hung up? No, he's still there, I can hear him breathe still. Why isn't he responding?

Maybe he doesn't love you.

"I love you, too." Harry speaks with much happiness in his voice. I smile widely and lean against the wall, staring up at the ceiling.

What has this boy done to me?
