Gold's POV~

If I could describe that movie in one word, it would be 'abs'. And I hated every second of it. I'm sure Silver did, too. But the girls had a blast.

"Team Edward or Jacob?" Lyra asked Hazel excitedly.

"Team Jacob! Duh!" Hazel replied and they high-fived. I could tell she zoned out at the beginning, but once Jacob took off his shirt....

"Did you see his abs?!" Hazel screamed.

"DID I?! I didn't know an eight-pack was even possible!"

"I know right!"

"And when he-"

"Shut the fuck up already!" Silver yelled at them both. Hazel rolled her eyes and changed the subject.

"I should probably start heading to Blackthorn. You guys can come if you want," she shrugged.

"Do you want us to come?" Lyra asked.

"I could care less."

"Well, then I think we'll come with you!" I grinned cheekily and she rolled her eyes again.

"Yeah, no thanks," Silver said, but I have him a look that said 'You're coming no matter what, ass hole' and he sighed with defeat. "Whatever. I have to battle Clair, anyway."

"You haven't battled her yet?" I asked. "Lyra and me have."

"Lyra and I." Lyra corrected.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever."

"I just haven't had time," Silver shrugged. Something didn't seem right, though. Usually, a gym battle would come first for Silver.

"Yeah..." I said, eyeing him skeptically.

"We can either go through Ice Cave or fly there," Hazel suggested, changing the subject. "Which do you guys prefer?"

"Through Ice Cave! It'll be more exciting!" I exclaimed, and before anyone could object, I marched toward our destination.

~~~~~~
"A-A-Are we t-t-there y-yet?" Hazel asked, shivering to death, but Blizzard seemed to be enjoying the weather. I put an arm around her and she let out a sigh of relief, warming up a little.
"Hang on, Cutie," I replied. "We're almost there...I think..." I mumbled the last part, but I don't think anyone heard me...
After about fifteen or twenty more minutes, I think we all came to realization. We hadn't seen any trainers for awhile. Fewer and fewer wild pokemon were coming out. It was becoming colder and colder...
"Well!" I turned around to face the others. "We are officially lost." They all yelled a 'WHAT?!' in unison.
"Hey, I wanted to fly, but noooo," I said.
"This is no time for jokes, Gold!" Lyra yelled, stomping her foot.
"I can't believe this!" Silver groaned in frustration.
"Guys, arguing wont change anything," Hazel said.
"Thank you!" I responded, only to have her glare at me.
"It's getting late, anyways. We should just camp out here for the night," she suggested, throwing some ice-covered wood in a pile. She then threw a pokeball near the pile. "Nina, help us out!"
A Ninetales appeared in front of us. You could tell it was on a high level from the way its tails were shiny and glossy. It blew fierce flames at the wood, catching it on fire. Hazel scratched the Fire type's head before returning it into its pokeball.
"I guess I won't be making my contest now," Hazel sighed, sitting down by the fire.
"I'm really sorry, Hazel. You know I didn't mean-"
"It's not your fault," she said, laughing a little. "You know it, too."
I sat down on the opposite side of the fire and sighed. Lyra sat next to me, and Silver in between Hazel and me.
"You look like you just ran a marathon," I told Lyra. Her eyelids were heavy and her shoulders slumped.
She nodded slightly and I chuckled. I pulled her onto my lap and she rested her head against my chest. Before I knew it, she passed out.
Hazel looked as worn out as Lyra was. She held a sound asleep Sneasel in her arms tightly. Silver just stared emotionlessly into the fire. He leaned his back against the ice wall for support.
Hazel soon fell asleep, too, unintentionally resting her head on Silver's shoulder. I laughed softly and Silver rolled his eyes.
"What do we have here?" I asked, but not loud enough to wake up the girls.
"I never said I liked it," He huffed. "She looks tired. No point in pushing her off."
"Yeah, sure..." I winked, and he groaned.
"Hey, Silv," I said, watching the bright flames dance around in front of me.
"Hm?"
"What's up with you? You're acting... different lately."
"What do you mean?" He asked sincerely.
"You know what I mean," I replied. "Putting off battles until later, training more than usual, that sort of stuff." But he didn't respond.
"C'mon, Silv, you can tell me," I added, looking into his silver eyes.
"It's just..." he trailed off and stared back into the fire. "Ever since I lost that battle against Hazel, I feel like I'm not good enough. I couldn't even land a single attack. I need to train harder."
"Oh, Silver, don't say that," I said. "We both know you're an awesome trainer, but Hazel, she's something special. You can tell how close she is with her pokemon and how hard they've worked to reach this level."
My gaze landed on Hazel and Blizzard snuggling by the fire. She held onto her companion tightly like she was afraid of losing her. You could tell just by looking at them that they went through something together that created their unbreakable bond.
"She has something I don't that makes her such a great trainer, though. I'm determined to figure out what it is."
"I think you just underestimated her," I said. We sat in silence after that, just gazing into the bright orange and yellow light before us.
After minutes of fighting drowsiness, I let sleep take over.
