Brittany's P.O.V
Damian pulled up to Claire's house I looked at it and squeezed his hand tighter, "Brittany if you squeeze my hand any tighter it might break and I don't have the time to heal it" he said and sighed he undid my hand and got out and walked to my side and opened the door for me.
"I'm sorry" I said to him he chuckled and took my hand and pulled me out of the car.
"Come on, beautiful" he said I smiled and walked with him hand in had up the porch and knocked on the door, Claire opened the door shock, anger, and confusion crossed her face but anger came back and held it's place, "What the hell are you two doing here?" she said not bothering to open the door any farther, crossing her arms she stood guard.
"Happy birthday Aunt Claire" I said and smiled she looked back at me the anger was replaced with shock
"You remembered"she whispered, "Of course I would silly, I love you to much to forget" I said quietly she smiled, "Okay come on in I was just sitting down to she said opening the door I smiled and gripped Damian's hand she looked at our hands, "Where's Nathan?" she asked I looked at Damian.
"You remeber when you kicked me out and I left with Damian and Nathan, well when we got there Nathan was drunk and um.." I trailed off, "He tried to rape her so I kicked his ass and she broke up with him that day" Damian said finishing my sentence I smiled at him
Claire looked at me, "Oh gosh I am so sorry, you to looked so in love too" she said I smiled I looked over to Damian, "I love this man right here" I said she smiled, "Well it's a good thing you two came then I can get to know this man that my niece loves so deeply" she said walking into the dining room pulling out two more plates, cups, and silverware I sat down after she sat.
"So how has life been going Brittany?" she asked me I smiled, "Good" I said she nodded.
"Sp Damian, what do you like in Brittany?" my aunt asked I rolled my eyes and giggled a little, Claire looked at me and smiled.
"Well I love her inocence, her humor, her smile, her eyes, her personality" he said all the time looking at my aunt she smiled, "You have your hands full there Brittany" she said I smiled, "What's your favorite color?" she asked him I smiled, "Green" He answered, as if you couldn't guess that with his green shirt.
"Ah such a good color" She replied back, he nodded his head agreeing
"So what do you like to do?" she asked he cleared his throat"
I like to hunt, and look things up, I was in the war but signed out" he said I looked at him and gawked at him I never knew that.
"I guess I learn new things every day" I said he laughed, my heart melted with his laugh
"Ah I see, so what is your job?" she asked I cleared my throat
"Historian" was his reply, "I research the Civil War topic" he said
"Oh I love that stuff" I replied he smiled
"Hm good working job, good money" she replied I groaned
"What it is" she said laughing at me I nodded my head.
"Not to be rude, but when is this big wedding off yours going to be here?" she blurted, me being right in the middle of drinking my drink was spit out of my mouth and I coughing because it went in the wrong tube Damian was right there clapping my back making sure I was okay.
"I haven't asked yet" Damian replied she looked at me shocked, "What you two look like you are already married" she said, I smiled, "Not yet Claire Bear" I said she smiled at the nickname I had gave her when I was seven.
"Well talk to me when it does happen" she told me sternly, "how is it going still living with Nathan?" she asked me, I looked at her, "Uh I guess it's okay, a little weird" I said Damian nodded, "Very weird" he said she chuckled, "You could move in back here so it's not so weird, and Damian you too" she said to us I looked at her then to Damian he to was looking at me, "let us think about it" I said she nodded
"The door is open if you two need it" she told us,"Thanks" I said I looked at the clock and seen it was about 8:30, "Well I am getting tired, I wish I remembered to get you something at the mall, but Destiny had me all into the shopping." I told her apologetically
"Nah you and Damian coming here and keeping me company was the best birthday wish" she said getting up with us and walking us to the door Damian opened the door Claire pulled me into a bone crushing hug when pulled back she had tears in her eyes, "I am so sorry" she whispered I nodded, she stepped back and smiled,"Come here you big ol'e teddy bear" she said waving Damian over he looked at himself and put a finger on his chest, "Me?" he said I laughed, "Yes give her a hug" he smiled and pulled her into his arm's Claire whispered something to him he nodded and whispered back.
When she pulled back she was smiling brightly, "Alright get the tired girl home, give me a call to Brittany" she called after Damian took my hand and walked me to the car Clarie stood there looking out the door, Damian opened the door for me, "Good the boy knows chiverlys I'm happy" Claire gloated I giggled, "I love you Claire" I shouted Damian winced, "I'm sorry" I whispered to him he nodded his head.
"I love you too honey take care" she shouted back.
Damian pulled out of the driveway I looked back and closed my eyes with a sigh Damian put his hand on my thigh for support I then drifted of to sleep , thinking what it would be like if my mother and father were still alive, would I still be living with them and dating Nathan, or would I be in the situation I am in now living with the two brothers, and one heartbroken, and one incredibly in love with me.
The last thing I remember doing was whispering, "I love you Damian" and falling asleep.
I woke up my head bobbling I stirred a little, "Don't move, you don't want to fall out of my arm's" I opened my eyes, the bright lights burned my eyes, "Ow the light hurts" I whined, Damian sighed I heard the door open and it close, I heard moving around
"Is she alright what happened, why does she look like that?" Nathan's questions fired off, I groaned, "Really Nate go to bed I am trying to sleep" I said grumpily
"What happened with Claire?" he asked ignoring my statement from earlier
"Nothing happened she was happy to see us, even thought we were married, huh Brittany" Damian said
"Yes" I moaned, "Now either put me down so I can walk to the room myself or start walking please, my love" I cried he sighed,"Yes I'm going, I'm going" he said, "and she is right Nate get some sleep" he said I snuggled closer to Damian's body, "She's right, I think I am going to start calling you TeddyBear" I mumbled into his chest.
"Okay" he muttered he opened the door ot our room and laid me down pulling my shoes off, then coming towards me,I think, "Do you want to sleep in the dress?" he whispered to me in my ear, "No" I groaned and got out of the bed and Damian unzipped it I stepped out of it and slumped back into bed, Damian pulled the blankets over me and not sure what he did after that but I felt the bed dip and Damian wrap his arms around me pulling me to is bare chest.
"Night TeddyBear, I love you" I whispered
"I love you too HoneyBear" we laughed at that then he kissed my head, I opened my eyes and kissed him on the lips then laid my head back down, I made my head in perfect shape and gave him butterfly kisses he shivered, "Stop that and go to sleep" he said I yawned and fell back to sleep listening to his breathing.
