Chase's POV

I rested my head on my hand as I sat and stared at my blank piece of paper. I began to tap my pencil against the desk, earning a few glares from he people actually working. I chuckled a bit. The topic of what are vampires was having a hard time finding me. Suddenly I had an idea. I began to write. "Vampires may not exist, but that doesn't mean almost every teenage girl doesn't worship them. I'm pretty sure everyone else is using their knowledge of Twilight to write this, like how vampires apparently sparkle in the sun, can run so fast it looks like they aren't even hitting the ground. I mean seriously, get a life. If it were up to me, vampires would burn in the sun, and would be as slow as a snail, just so wolves could eat them . I believe in werewolves but vampires, hell no! So have fun with coming up with what these idiotic things are." I finished. Perfectly the ninety words I needed plus one more. I pushed back my seat and walked over to Mr. Whatever his name was. I dropped the paper on his desk and walked off. "Mr. Shaw, would you like to read your paper aloud?" He asked. 'As long as it doesn't give me detention. " I replied as I stood up and went to go get my paper. I stood at the front and began to read. By the time I was done most of the girls and gay Johnny were glaring at me while the guys were trying to contain their laughter. The teacher was glaring at me because of my use of 'foul words'. I smirked and walked back to my chair. "Sweet man." Flynn said as he gave me a high five. The bell rang and I made my way out of the classroom. I found Brett and walked over to him. "Hey bro." I said as I came up behind him. "Hey." He said, sounding worried. "What's wrong?" I asked him. "Tally's gone." He mumbled. "Maybe she is skipping, I'm sure she wont be gone for long. " I assured him. He slowly nodded his head, as if unsure. I steered him to math. "Let's go gt bored to death." I said. He chuckled. We had finally made it to the classroom about seven minutes after the bell had rung. I slowly opened the door then walked in. "Your late." Mrs..... well this one was new. "And you are?" I asked. "Your substitute, Mrs. Sherri." She said. "Oh! I know you, you used to be my moms 'friend'." I said using air quotes around friend. She looked a little taken aback but quickly composed herself. "Take your seats." She ordered. I shrugged and took an empty seat. I slouched down in my chair and waited for her to begin boring me. As soon as she began to talk I zoned out and thought about where Tally might be. My thoughts soon went to what Terra told me about their family and how they died. "She doesn't know that her parents are dead. " I mind- linked to Brett. "Shit." He responded. "Double shit." I said. I looked over to Brett and saw a worried expression cross his features. "Mr. Shaw, what is the answer?" Mrs. Sherri asked. "37." Nick mind linked to me. "thirty seven." I replied, not missing a beat. "Thanks." I told Nick. The rest of the class went by very slow and it seemed to just be getting slower. Soon the bell rung and I hopped up form my seat. I darted out the door and to my mom's car. Soon Terra was there and we sped home. "Did you tell your sister about your mom and dad yet?' I asked her. She looked down. "No, every time I try to I chicken out." She admitted. I nodded my head as I pulled up to the house, the same time Tally did. I slowly stepped out of my car and went over to her. She looked a bit scared. I grabbed onto her arms, close to her shoulders, and looked her in the eye. "Where were you?" i asked her. She looked at me. " I went to go see my mom and dad." She paused and looked over at Terra. "But it seems they are no longer with us." She mumbled. Terra dropped her gaze to the floor. "I was going to tell you, I just didn't know how." Terra said. Tally looked back at me. "I also saw a guy." She stated. "He knows who we are Terra. He knows about our family." Tally said to Terra. I looked to Terra for answers but she was to busy lost in her own thoughts. "What did he look like?" I asked. " He was a sturdy man, slight stubble on his chin, pitch black hair, and severely brown eyes." She replied. Terra looked at me. "He sounds a lot like that Thomas guy." She said. I nodded my head. "Give me a moment, I have to take this up with my father. " I said. I made my way up the steps and into the house. "Hi Chase." my mom called. "Where is dad?" I asked. "He just went into our room." She replied. "Thanks." I called back. I bounded up the stairs and knocked on my parents door. "Come in." my father called. I entered the room. "Who is Thomas?" I asked.  He froze as the name left my mouth. "Where did you hear that name?" He asked softly. "I met a man in the woods." I said. "Dammit." He cursed. He looked up at me with a solemn expression and ran a hand over his face. "There is something you should know."
