Emily's P.O.V

I was on the balcony with Aria and Marcel. We were all sitting on the ground because there were no chairs out there. Marcel hasn't actually met Aria, but they are getting along very well. Elijah came out onto the balcony and Aria ran up to him hugging his leg.

"Come on Aria, I think Damon wants to see you." Marcel said and she walked into the apartment with him.

"So," I said and Elijah sat down next to me on the ground.

"So," Elijah said and I looked at him.

"Why?" I asked and Elijah looked confused.

"Why what?" He asked and I sighed.

"Why are acting like strangers?" I asked him.

"Because I don't know why you're so calm?" Elijah said and I stood up. He stood up with me and I walked over to the other side of the balcony.

"The view is so beautiful." I said as I looked at New Orleans. But I was right Marcel has a perfect view of the whole city.

"Why are you so calm?" He asked me and I looked out of the conner of my eye at him.

"I mean Marcel should be lucky he has this place-" Elijah cut me off because he knew I was stalling.

"Emily," Elijah said as he put his hand on my lower back and I sighed.

"I know, I know. But I can't answer your question Elijah." I said and turned around so I was leaning on the railing. Elijah did the same thing I did and looked at me.

"Why?" He asked me and I looked at him.

"Because I don't know how." I took a deep breath. "Life with the Doctor, fighting monsters, running a lot...it becomes who you are. A few months before you saw me in New York again, The Doctor had just dropped me off and I couldn't remember anything other than Dean breaking my heart." I said and Elijah looked down.

"That's why you were mad when we let him erase your memory again." Elijah said and I nodded.

"Yet again I would be mad anyway, but it's not your fault." I said and he looked at me confused.

"It's not?" He asked and I nodded.

"You did what you thought was right and you did what I would have done." Elijah smiled at me. I placed my hand on his cheek and pulled his face towards mine. We kissed and it felt like when we just met each other. He placed his hands on my waist and held me close. When we pulled away he was smiling. "Elijah," He looked at me. "I love you, but now that I remember everything... You might see a side of me you've never seen before." I said and he looked at me confused.

"Nothing you do or say will ever change my feelings about you." Elijah said and pulled me into a hug. I rested my head on his chest and looked back into the apartment. I saw Aria playing or trying to pin down Damon with the help of Hope. I smiled as I heard them all laugh. Elijah kissed the top of my head then rested his chin on the top of my head.

"Look," Elijah looked where I was and I looked up at him. I watch as he slowly smiled, he looked back at me and his smile grew. "We created this." I said and he kissed me.

"I missed that" Elijah said and I kissed him again.

"Me too, but we fixed one thing while everything else broke around it." I said and pulled out of the hug. I started walking towards the door to go back into the apartment with everybody.

"What?" Elijah asked as I opened up to door. I turned around to him and smiled.

"Your family." I said and walked back in.
