Emily's P.O.V

"Bye Emily." Elijah said as he kissed my cheek.

"Bye." I said and he walked to the door. Aria came zooming in and I handed Aria her backpack and phone.

"Ok, I think that's everything." Aria said and I walked up to her. I took some random that was in her hair out and she smiled at me.

"Now you're done." I said and we walked to my car. I started driving to the Grill and Aria seemed confused.

"Mom the school-" I cut her off.

"I know but you're a mess and need coffee. So I'm going to try to convince Tyler to give us both coffee." I said and she smiled. I pulled up and she looked worried. "Hey, you calm down and I will get us coffee." I said and patted her leg.

I got out and walked into the Grill. I walked up to the bar and Tyler started shaking his head. "No! No, more coffee!" He said and I pouted.

"Please, it's Aria first day and she's freaking out. So just two coffees to go would be nice." I begged and Tyler sighed. Yes! I won.

"Fine, but that's it." Tyler said and I nodded. He brought me the coffee and I paid him. I walked back out to the car and opened up the door. Aria smiled and took her coffee.

"Thanks mom." I smiled at her. "Don't know what I do without you." Aria said and I laughed.

"Don't worry. I'll be here for a very long time." I said and started up the car.

"But what if I'm still here and you're gone?" Aria asked and I took her hand.

"Then you won't need me anymore." I said and she hugged my arm as I started driving.

"I think I will always need you." Aria said quietly and I smiled. I took a sip of coffee and we started talking about mainly Hope and Klaus. We always talk about them cause we are both worried about them. Consinly

I was cleaning Aria's room up as I thought about her being a senior. She always wanted to go to Wittemore College with Hope. I smiled as I saw the application on her desk and then next to it a notepad. I then looked at her trash can and saw full with a lot of paper.

"You'll get there baby girl." I said to myself and continue to pick up her cloths.

I put them in the laundry then looked at a photo of her, me, and Elijah standing in front of Whittemore on her dresser as I put away clean cloths. Next to it I saw a photo booth picture with Hope and her goofing around. They were like actually sisters. It reminded me of my relationship with Damon and Stefan.

It also made me happy that I decided to go to New Orleans all those years ago. I only say that because sometimes I wonder if we never went there...then I wouldn't have gotten everybody capture by my father...but then I think about my sister and mom. Then I think about Aria and Hope and I smile.

Oh, I forgot to say my mom's fine by the way. She lives across the street with Alex. They didn't want to leave our side after what happened. And I don't blame them.

I got snapped out of my thoughts when I heard the front door close. That was probably Damon or Caroline...most likely Damon though. I walked downstairs and saw it wasn't either of them. I was confused as they turned around.

"Who are you?" I asked them. Then I heard a gunshot and everything went black.
