It was just a normal day for the Hadlers family. 3 year old Natalia and Jacob Hadler (the twins) were in the living room watching SpongeBob. They were eating popcorn when they heard a noise in the kitchen. "Mommy are you okay?" said Natalia. No answer. There was another noise but this time it sounded more like a gun shot. Natalia and Jacob ran to the kitchen to see there mom on the floor, lying there with blood flooding the kitchen tiles. Natalia let out a loud whimper. Jacob looked at her with a sad face and teary eyes. Then they heard a gun shot coming from there parents room. "Dwaddy!" they both yelled. They ran upstairs to there parents room only to see there dad lying with blood coming out of his mouth. They turned to see two men in black with a mask on covering there faces. "There's children here!!" said one of them. "That bastard never said anything about children!" said the other. They both stared at the twins. The twins looked scared. "Who should we take? Both?" said one of the men. "Hell, let's take the boy! He'll be one of us when he gets older." "Okay." said the other. One of them took out a candy bar from there pocket. "Hey little boy you want the candy bar? he said. Jacob nodded, and came closer to him. The one not holding the candy bar grabbed the little boy into his arms and they both ran off leaving Natalia in a room with her dead father. Natalia started to cry. She went running out the door screaming "Jacob!" She went to the living room to see if he was there. No sign. She checked the whole house, but no sign of Jacob. She opened the front door to her house slowly, let her last cries out, got out and ran to the street looking for Jacob. She walked all alone in that cold street with only pajamas yelling her brothers name out, with no answer.

Meredith Holts walked alone in the street after she got fired from her job working at a hotel. She walked with what seemed hours until she saw a little girl walking alone in the street she quickly ran up to her to see if she was okay. "Are you lost?" said Meredith. The little girl nodded. "Aww what's your name sweetheart?" she said in her sweet and kind voice. "N-n-natalia" the little girl said, the coldness couldn't let her talk well. "Aww you have a adorable name. You must be cold here's my sweater." said Meredith. "Tank yooou." said Natalia. "Where are your parents?" said Meredith. "On the ground, with red stuff." Natalia said with a sad voice. "Huh?" said Meredith in a confused tone. "Here let me show you?" Natalia said. "Okay." said Meredith as Natalia lead her the way.

As the men got close to there truck Jacob was jumping up and down, side to side. "I wanna go home!" said Jacob. "Shut up! Dammit this boy is killing me!" said one of the men. "Give him here Erik!" said the other in an annoyed voice. "Here Jack." said Erik. "Okay little dude you are going with us to the um, um , um candy store? Yeah the candy store!" said Jack. "YAYAYAY!" said Jacob excitedly. "But you gotta promise to be quiet and not annoy us. Well don't annoy Erik. Okay!" said Jack. "Ooookay." said Jacob. Jack put Jacob in a car seat, and they drove off.

"Here's my houssse." said Natalia. "Okay.. Are you sure your parents are going to let me in?" said Meredith. "I told you there laying on the ground with red stuff." said Natalia. They both walked up to the door as Natalia opened the door, Meredith felt a weird feeling. Natalia led her to the kitchen. As they both walked in Meredith turned to see Natalia's mom lying on the floor with blood all over. "OH MY GOD! WE have to call the ambulance!! Where's the phone?!" said Meredith in a panicked voice. "There's one right here." said Natalia handing Meredith the phone. "There's my dwaddy and my brother too. But my brother left me." said Natalia while tears were running down her cheeks. "Where's your dad? Why did your brother leave." "My dwaddy is in his room laying on the floor with red stuff too. And these big mans took my brother. His name is Jacob and he's my twin." Meredith's mouth opened shaping an "O"

Meredith's POV.

This poor child was left alone. While some crazy assholes killed her parents and took her brother. I dialed the emergency number and as soon as they picked I told them everything. They said they'd get here right away. I held Natalia's hands and told her it will be fine. No it wouldn't they were probably already dead. Poor thing, and her brother. These poor children have been separated. My heart ached in pain. I felt like the most stupidest person alive. I had this feeling deep inside that when Natalia grew up she would always remember this moment. This day when everything turned into pieces. I saw the ambulance lights and ran to the front door having Natalia's hand. The ambulance people ran inside as I told them where they would find the dead bodies. I knew they were dead. The feeling inside me. My eyes started to water. One of the people came to report that they were dead and that I had to take her with me somewhere else. I then called the Missing Children Cases (MCC) phone number to call about Natalia's brother, Jacob. I asked Natalia "What's your last name Nat." I can't believe I called her Nat, but I guess she like it because she smiled and said "Hadler." I told the MCC all the information I knew and what Natalia had told me. They told me this would be the first case they would do tonight. I was glad there was someone finally helping us find Jacob. I smiled at Nat and told her that we would find her brother soon. "Good, because I miss him." She said.
