(TO ALL OF Y'ALL THAT ARE READING THIS, THIS STORY IS AFTER BOOK 1. HOWEVER,THE 75TH GAMES DIDN'T HAPPEN. SO FINNICK IS STILL ALIVE.)
Clarissa POV
Carmen is indeed traumatized. She mutters to herself as we hike up with Ashley. All of us are scared.
When Clifford's screams was blared through my ears, the instant reaction was the flash on the beheading. He died so cruelly. So cruelly. But I know that they aren't real.
Crystal is affected. I know that that should be Lux. Lux's screams. Serena told me that Lux was turned into an Avox. I wonder if those screams were from the punishment.
However, the most affected is Carmen. She's insecure, doubting her abilities. But it all comes down to the deceased tributes that she had killed. The Capitol used their screams to unhinge her. Just like how they used Clifford's screams to unhinge me. Just like how they used Lux's screams to unhinge Crystal.
"Ashley, did you have this experience?" I ask. She nods her tiny little head and says,
"Yes. They used my deceased siblings against me. It lasted for an hour till the barrier dismissed and I managed to run. However, the jabberjay followed me as I raced and I tripped. It continued mimicking the sounds till it died of exhaustion."
As we hike for water, we get Ashley to go first and Crystal to go last.
"I heard water before. But when I went to the water source's sound, it went missing." Ashley states. Out of all of us, she is the most knowledgeable on water. She is from District 4, after all.
We allow Crystal to go last as our alliance needs the casualties to be "protected". I'm injured externally. Carmen is injured internally.
"Where did you hear the sound?" Crystal questions.
"Out at the back. The old tree." She answers promptly.
"The old tree?" Crystal asks, shaking her head.
"Yes." Ashley confirms.
"This isn't good. In the woods, there is usually only one Old Tree. However, in here, there are multiple ones. I saw them. It could be that only one has the water. And that only one could be meters away." Crystal explains.
We travel up, but stopping occasionally to snack on a few crackers we have left in the packs. We desperately need water.
Water. Water. Water. We all need water. But it's no where to be found. I've heard that if we don't get water in three days, we will die from dehydration. It has been two days since we had entered the arena. We have a day left to get water.
Just as we are hiking to a old tree, in an attempt that it is the one with water, a silver parachute falls down. It clearly states Ashley's name on it. Ashley unwraps the ribbon on it and inside of it is a note.
"Water is right under your nose. You know it."
At the bottom, it's signed with Finnick's signature. Finnick? Isn't that Ashley's mentor?
Ashley mutters for a while as I suggest,
"Let's take a break."
"Good enough." Carmen mutters as she sets up camp next to the rocks. She lays back onto a tree and dozes off quickly. Ashley takes on the first guard with Crystal.
"Take a rest." She mutters as I lie back onto some soft grass. Somehow, it feel just like home. Soft, and in seconds, I'm out, cold.

Ashley POV
As I see Clarissa and Carmen out cold, Crystal and I strike off in a conversation.
"Where do you think water is?" I start.
"How about that note, Miss Ashley? What did Finnick say?" Crystal asks.
"Well, Finnick only said that water is right under our noses." I reply.
"You think that he's hinting something?" Crystal asks.
"He could be. But I mean, we'll never know." I reply.
"You'll never know. Well, good luck. That is your hint." Crystal replies.
"I'll be out back. You'll guard the front." She continues before heading off with her knives. One in each hand, she trots up to guard. As I see her back image disappear from my vision, I think of the note.
Water is right under your nose. You know it.
Right under. Right under. What is Finnick hinting at?

Katniss POV
I sit by the sponsors. Finnick is right next to me, snacking on sugar cubes. Throughout the games, he has been asking various questions. One would be the one he asked when we first met.
"Girl on Fire, sugar cube?"
"No thanks, Finnick."
We see everything. Finnick has sent down a note, in hopes to allow the alliance to find water. We had found out where was the water when Ashley heard it. However, we couldn't send down any directions.Hopefully, the alliance will get the hints.
So far, no alliance has found water.Lux, Effie and Renee's alliance had almost found water. They heard the trickling of water and had rushed to it when the water "disappeared".
So far, 14 tributes have died. The Capitol has apparently cut off the cannons. I wonder why. But Peeta comes up with a theory.
"The Capitol wants them all dead. If they don't know who's dead, they might kill off more than they need to. I've made some calculations. In this 100th Hunger Games, 41 have died. Later, 51 more will die. And who knows what more special attractions there is? More will die."
"All of em?" I ask.
"Most likely."
Finnick steps in too, saying that how the cannon firing is important. The cannon firing signifies a lot. It shows how many have gone. It shows how many hasn't. And it signifies when it's the finale.
The show has just begun. It truly has.

Carmen POV
I'm in the Games. With the same hissing that I've heard around a few hours before. She's right in front of me.
"I thought you were..." I mutter in fear.
"Miss Scorched Fingers, I don't think so." She replies me.
"How are you..." I mutter, confused.
"You need water. Well, you know where it should be. Right where the piranhas almost killed me." She says.
"Where the piranhas.." I mutter as she disappears out of my vision.
I awaken, screaming. Piranhas. Piranhas.
"Where the piranhas... killed her..." I mutter to myself.
The piranhas almost killed her when she was up on the Old Tree. Up on the Old Tree...
"WAKE THE F- UP." I scream to Clarissa. She awaken and I see Ashley dashing towards me.
"The water is in-" She starts.
"Under the tree. It's either under or above." I say.
"The old you is back." Clarissa mutters.
Crystal comes, dashing towards us, hysterical.
"Run!"
