"Run Kris! Run!" Joshua yelled at the top of his voice.
I hugged the ball tightly to my chest and made a run for it. Rain started to pour harder as the seconds passed, dripping down my forehead and over my eyes.
I spotted a hunky shadow ahead. Shit.
I thought Joshua was defending me! Whatever happened to that useless ass of his? Nevermind that, I have to get pass him somehow. I willed my legs to go faster but the muddy ground wasn't helping me at all.
"Not this time of big boy" Raymond ran across the field with a smug on his face and took his place of defence in front of hunky boy. Thank goodness for that. I scanned the field for the goal ahead as the dark clouds and rain continued to paint the skies in gloom.
Thunder clapped in a distance and by this time, rain was pouring down hard as my jersey started to stick uncomfortably to my skin. The weather was not, however, going to stop me. Victory was near for the Bulls and I could smell it. I broke into a sprint as a smile formed on my face.
"Kris!" Raymond yelled as I ran past him. I whipped my head back around to see him looking at the sky in horror, his face alit in such luminous brightness.
"What?" I managed to yell back before a searing pain spread through my body.
