Part 10: Trust?

"I don't know Harl I just don't know" I say pacing back and forth in our tiny room, Harl sits on the bed and says "well I don't know either Red it'll be fine we will find her" I stop pacing look at Harl and say "how Harl we haven't even started looking" she smiles weakly and says "Red I promise she will be fine" " she can't die on me Harl not know, I didn't even get to tell her that I forgive her and I would be devastated if anything happens to her" Harl stands up and walks over to me she gives me a kiss on the cheek and hugs me I melt into her embrace and wipe my tear stained face. We move out of the hug and Harl says "okay we need ta find out were Kitty is I say we- Harl is interrupted when we hear someone trying to unlock the door we look at each other we each grab the nearest weapon to us I look at Harl and say "a spatula really" she shrugs I roll my eyes and we shift focus to the door,it opens "hi guys" I sigh as Harl and I put our weapons down at the door stands a bruised and bloody Selina, I run up to her and give her a hug she returns it and smiles,Harl then walks over and gives her a hug we all walk into the room and sit on the bed "what the hell happened to you"? I question she smiles and says "just the guy that I owe money to but we worked it out and everything is fine now" I furrow my brow and say "okay um do you wanna have a shower and stuff"? She nods and heads to the shower I stand up and say "Selina after your done we need to talk" she nods and gos into the bathroom.

1 hour later

Harley fall asleep so I tuck her in and start to stroke her hair, Selina comes out of the shower with her cat suit on and walks over to me and I stand up "lets go to the balcony" I whisper she nods and we head to the balcony we stand on the balcony looking at the view "listen Selina I need to tell you something" I say she nods and says "yah you can tell me anything Pam" "right, I know I said that I would never be able to forgive you but I do, and no its not just because you almost were killed its because your my best friend and it took you almost dying for me to realize how much I care about you" Selina smiles and says "thank you Pam that means a lot to me" I smile and give her a hug "also I trust you, you know that right"? I say "yah I know" she says "good because I don't trust easily" I say she laughs and we head back inside. Selina curls up on the couch and I lie down next to Harl it seems our family is back in a happy place.
