Kaida’s POV
Silence. Sometimes silence was nice, but this silence was annoying. It was too quiet. I’d been living in silence for a year now. I missed hearing noise from the village, from my family. My family. I was never going hear them again. Because of Itachi. Itachi, my older brother. He murdered them all. Mum, Dad, Granny, Grandad, even Sasuke, my brother. He wiped out the whole clan but me. I ran away before he could find me. Ever since then I’d been living in this small deserted underground den I found. I just had to make it a little bigger for myself. I only left at night. I’d sneak into the village and take some food and drink. It was very risky but I managed to get by this whole time only being spotted twice. I got away easily though, thanks to my jutsus. Without them I don’t know how I’d survive.
I’ve developed sharingan too. So the boys in my family weren’t the only ones. I can see my enemy’s every movement and jutsu and copy it with my sharingan. Thanks to my sharingan, I have learned how to do other jutsus. Sometimes, I’d sneak to the academy and watch some trainee ninja train. I’d even follow some ninjas on missions.
But this night was different. It was a dark night and it was raining. I liked the rain. It was very refreshing, and concealing. I used my shadow clone jutsu to make a shadow clone of myself to run ahead of me and see if there was anyone around. There was no one. I snuck into the village, and into the ramen shop through the small back window. I grabbed what ever I could and stuffed it into my black backpack, fish cakes, noodles.... Then suddenly, I heard a bang outside. I heard the ‘poof’ of my shadow clone on guard as it disappeared. I’ve been caught. I zipped my bag up and slid it onto my back. I jumped up onto the counter to look out the back window. I didn’t see anything. But just as I tried climbing through the window to make my escape, I heard the shutter in the front of the shop open.
“There” whispered a male voice from the entrance. I fell from the window and hit the ground hard. I heard a crack from my arm.
“Damn it!” I spat as I struggled to get up. I needed to get away. I mustn’t get caught. As I stood up, I tripped. I squeezed my eyes shut, expecting a hard fall again, but instead of falling to the ground, I fell into something. I quickly opened my eyes to be shocked by the sight of feet. I fell back. I hadn’t fallen into something, but some one. I started dragging myself backwards, but I hit something again. I looked up to see a man smiling down at me. I pulled my knees up to my face.
“Please...let me go. Don’t hurt me. I’m sorry.” I blurted out. What was I saying? I could easily get away. Just then, the man behind me crouched down and placed his hands on my shoulders. The man infront of me came towards me and crouched down also.
“I’m not going to hurt you. I just want to know more about you” He smiled at me through his black mask. It was easy to see him smiling through the mask. His grey spikey hair moved in the breeze. He had a forehead protector over his left eye. Why?
“Me too.” I looked behind me. Another smiling man. Why are they so happy? I just stole food and they happy about it? The guy behind me had dark brown hair that was tied back. He wore the forehead protector across his forehead. But my eyes were drawn to a scar that stretched from one cheekbone, across his nose, to the other.
“Im Kakashi” said the grey haired guy, smiling.
“And I’m Iruka” the other guy said.
“Come on, we’re getting wet out here. We’ll get you all clean and fed before the Hokage....” Kakashi drifted off, standing up. He held his hand out to me and I hesitantly grabbed it with my hand that wasn’t sore. He pulled me up from the ground carefully. When I stood up, I staggered from left to right. I felt myself falling, but some one grabbed me before I hit the ground. I looked up to see Kakashi’s worried eyes staring down on me.
“I........I....feel...” I felt my eyes roll back and I blacked out.
