The memories of Jake and I are bittersweet.. i remember them like they were yesterday. The feeling of his hands in my hair, the soft touch he'd give right before he would lean in to give me a toe-curling kiss. I also remember the fights, the names, the scream matches we would have. But those were at the end,it all went down hill at the end. He finally let me go and then i lost him forever...

I woke up to my mom yelling at my brother to "open the dang bathroom door". I heard him grumble something and his feet stomping on the old hardwood. This is a normal Monday morning and i already wanted to punch something or someone. Why God invented Mondays? The world may never know.

After throwing on yesterdays shirt and last weeks jeans, I walked into the kitchen to grab a banana and some nutella. Not the best breakfast, i know but it'll keep me full till lunch. As i walked out the door I paused at the picture of the family, it was taken two years ago and its presence made me want to cry in a corner. Standing next to my nerd brother stood the love of my life, Jack. His smiling eyes and dimples made any girl swoon and i was lucky to call him mine..until he wasn't. The anniversary was coming up and i dreaded the day, but as usual i'll take him flowers like I did every other month. Every other month I'd debate if i should go but eventually usually late in the day i would end up at the White Stone Cemetery gates. I would always bring black roses, Jack was obsessed with black roses. Said they reminded him of ' the dark
version of Alice in the Wonderland.
I was his black rose.
