Kathryn, a young teen with dark, shoulder-length curls and glasses, waited in a corner of a school hallway by a door. The final bell had rung a few minutes earlier and was waiting for the crowd to die down before she went outside to meet her friend Dawn by their yellow fire hydrant, where from there they walked home together. Usually, their friends Griffin and Jacob would walk with them, but Griffin had a dentist's appointment and Jacob, a family emergency.

Kathryn was reading a medium-sized hardcover novel when Tyler snuck up behind her, though she was fully aware of his presence. He leaned his left forearm against the wall above Kathryn's head, his other hand resting casually on his hip. He leaned over her shoulder and stared at her book page.

"What'cha reading?" He asked.

"Something you can't comprehend," She said back simply.

Tyler frowned slightly. "Okay," He replied, regaining his indifference. He grinned.

Kathryn glared at him out of the side of her glasses. "Do you mind?"

"No."

"Can you go away?"

"No."

By then, Kathryn had shut her book. He was still in his same pose, hanging over her slightly with one arm on the wall over her head. His green eyes met her mud-and-algae colored ones. "Can you leave me alone?" She asked, annoyed.

"No." Suddenly, in a flash, he had pinned both of Kathryn's hands and forearms to the wall with his own, causing her to drop her book. It slid across the floor some distance, but neither of them paid attention to it. Kathryn squirmed, trying to duck and get away, but before she could, Tyler went in for the kiss, full on and passionate. Kathryn stopped moving, continuing to resist him, though her attempts were futile. He had pressed himself against her, and she had no choice to stay put and mentally refuse.

After what seemed like ages, Tyler slowly pulled away from Kathryn. Her usually pale face was now extremely flushed, and she wore a mixed expression of offense, embarrassment, and outrage. In one swift move, she scooped up her backpack and book, hit him, hard, in the shoulder with it, and disappeared through the door nearby, leaving Tyler standing there, grinning. As she jogged over to a yellow fire hydrant and Dawn, a thought passed through her head. I'm glad no one else was in the hallway then.

Dawn looked up from her phone and waved as Kathryn approached, still slightly out of breath from Tyler's assault.

"What took you so long? And why is your face so flushed?" She asked. Realization dawned on her. Before she could say anything, Kathryn cut in. "He kissed me," She said awkwardly, clearly uncomfortable. Dawn gasped. "No."

"He pinned me against a wall and kissed me," She repeated in the same tone. Tyler, who had silently slipped out of the building, was at Kathryn's back. He waved to Dawn, grinning like he had just finished a good practical joke. Dawn glared at him, then redirected her attention back to Kathryn. Her face was still flushed and she was standing as if she didn't want to be seen.

Dawn took Kathryn's hand reassuringly. "Let's go back to your house and get food. Then we'll contact Griffin and get him over here," She said, and started walking. Kathryn turned around to see Tyler leaning against the outer brick wall of the school. He grinned again and waved. Kathryn, suddenly regaining her normal prickly attitude, glared daggers at him as Dawn dragged her down the street, to an uncertain amount of doom - talking about it.

AH I'm so sorry, I was reading back through and noticed I made an absolutely HORRIBLE pun. 'Suddenly, realization dawned on her.' FORGIVE ME, I DO NOT KNOW THE POWER OF A BAD PUN. Anyway, if you enjoyed it, or have questions, comments, concerns, or just requests of what you'd like to see (=D), please tell me! Btw, my chapters are going to be short like this because I don't have much to say for each scene. =T
