Who is DC Hannon?

Well hello let me introduce myself my name is Derek. I was known to the New England wrestling scene as DC Hannon. Who is DC Hannon you ask? Well I was never was a top indy guy, a internet darling or anyone special. I'm just a regular guy that loved wrestling who always wanted to be a wrestler. Now who is the man in the tights?

Well I'm 32 years old, married with kids & living in the Orlando area working as a pest control technician. I haven't wrestled a match since 2012 & I will get into that later on in the story. I would love to get back into it I was a kid with a dream to be a professional wrestler & I was able to live that dream for six years this is my story...

At a young age my father introduced me to professional wrestling.  Some of my favorites growing up with Hulk Hogan Ultimate Warrior Randy Savage and many many others. Like all wrestling fans you had the action figures, got the posters, went to WWF events at the Boston Garden and down in Cape Cod. I also went independent shows to see NWA New England to see guys like the Boston bad boy Tony Rumble, Kevin Sullivan, Tony Atlas and many many others. My dad also would take my sister & I to Salisbury beach. We would go there to play arcade game & go on amusement rides then we would go to WSW shows there as well. Who knew years later there was a rebirth of WSW & I'd be given the opportunity to wrestle for the promotion.

Growing up I was always a very active kid & always outside playing. I loved spending my days outside playing with my little army guys, making my own movies. I was just always active with my friends, always competing in different games or sports from skateboarding, street hockey, football & pretty much anything else. I've played several different sports from lacrosse, football, basketball & wrestling. Lacrosse & wrestling were my most successful especially wrestling. I placed in several tournaments, was a 2 year captain, rookie of the year & teams mvp. I was very aggressive where I would insult myself & punch myself before matches to pump myself up so my team also voted me most intense ! I was offered a scholarship to wrestle in college but I didn't take it because school wasn't really my thing. I did well but I never truly pushed myself. I was the quiet kid that just kept to myself.
