That could have been the most awkwardest moment of my life. I look back at Ariel and she just gave me an "It-will-be-okay" look then smiled. I just watch as he walked away again with a smile, but why wasn't I smiling? There was this little feeling that told me no. But sometimes you have to ignore that feeling and take risks. Life is about taking risks and learning from those lessons, right?
I walked back to the booth and sat down. Ariel still had some time so I decided to check my twitter. Scroll.... nothing.... scroll some more... nothing. I told Ariel I'd be right back and decided to roam the festival. Maybe I should talk to Luke about this? I figured the advice from my best friend would help. He may act pretty dumb most of the time, but he's actually really intelligent. I walked towards the booth again, but I didn't see him around.
"Hey Sawyer, where's Luke?" I crane my neck to see around everyone but being short didn't help.
Sawyer turned around. "He went to go set up the pie booth."
"And what are you doing here?" I pointed to the dunking booth.
"I'm finishing up here before I close it down. Is that so shocking?"
I scoffed then laughed. "You being nice? Yeah, not likely."
"Not interested in what you have to say princess." He gave me his signature smirk. I just rolled my eyes at him but smiled.
Just in time, Luke walked up to the booth. "Hey Scar, what's up?"
Once he was closer to me, I tippy-toed to whisper in his ear and whispered one word, "Kyle." Then I stood straight again.
"Really? What happened?" He crossed his arms and listened as I told him he came up to me at the booth then asked me to be his date for his schools dance. "But what about the after party tonight?"
"I'll go, but a little later. I won't stay too long."
"I still don't like Kyle." Sawyer added in.
"Not interested in what you have to say Princess." I mimicked.
"Oh I see what you did there. I give you props babe."
"Just stop talking," I looked back at Luke, "so what should I do Luke?"
He hugged me. "Do what you think is right, I'll be a call a way. No promises though, it is a party." I punched him in the arm, he just gave me a smile and kissed my forehead.
After the last person left, the guys closed the dunking booth, and we left to go get Ariel. The guys parted ways once we got her, so her and I decided to go on rides and play some games. It was really fun. We bought a funnel cake and cotton candy, then we rode this power shot ride where it takes you up and drops you. Then we went on a little rollercoaster they had set up, and we even went in one of the moon jumps. We didn't get the water slides since it was getting too cold for that. It started getting late, so we went on the ferris wheel to look at the city lights and as our last ride before meeting up with the boys again. The sunset looked gorgeous over the town.
It took us awhile to find the guys, but we finally managed to. We headed back to the hotel, but only for Ariel and I to get our bags to leave again and go dress shopping. There were some dress shops close by the hotel. It was the perfect location since it was near the school, near downtown, and near a cute little shopping square. It took a good hour to find a dress, but the sad part is I still have to get ready and I have maybe 2 hours left before I had to meet up with Kyle in the hotel lobby. This should be great. Note the sarcasm.
We made it back to the room and I pretty much ran to my room. I got into the shower scrubbing my face with soap trying to clean all my sins away, and by that, I mean all the cooties of the boys I had to kiss today. I made sure to shave as well, even if I did it earlier this morning. Once I was done, I plugged in my blow dryer and brushed my hair. It took a good 10 or 15 minutes to get my hair dry. Then I plugged in the wand and pulled out my make-up bag. I applied my foundation and cover up, then making a cat eye with my black eye-liner, some blush and a nude lipstick. I hurried and started curling my hair in loose waves. Having long hair made it take forever besides the shower and make-up. I looked at my phone for the time and realized I was already out of time. Freaking out, I went quicker in the process of burning my hand. Once I was okay with the results, I ran into my room once again and nearly tripped putting on my heels. It's a surprise I haven't broken anything yet.
