Giro's POV...
Giro if you can hear me, come to me at once.
My body stood up and started walking, despite my exhaustion, despite having only my sweats on and no shoes, out of Sharpe's room, down several grey halls, seemingly knowing exactly where to go, until I was standing in front of the main office. My hands reached to open the door but before I could it was pulled open by the one person who ever seemed to give a damn about me.
"Papa?" I asked, my voice and hands shaking as I looked up into his dark deep reddish eyes.
He nodded with a smile and pulled me in for a hug, tears welled up in my eyes. I missed him so much.
"GIRO!" I heard Sharpe yell, that's right, I left him back in his room.
I whimpered and hid behind my Papa, "I want to go with you, I don't want to be here anymore."
He watched Draven storm towards us before looking down at me, "Why are you here in the first place? Have you not been eating?"
I looked away from his piercing gaze, "Maybe..."
"Naughty, naughty," He whispered, picking me up for a moment, "You're too light, I'll have to fix that when we get home. I can feel your ribs."
I shivered, "Yes Papa, I'm sorry."
"It's okay baby, let's go home."
Sharpe burst into the office, and immediately noticed my papa. I no doubt wasn't supposed to have visitors this early into my stay here.
"Who're you?"
"I'm his sire, Zachaeus, who are you?"
"I'm acting as his guardian. He's been signed over to the institute for the remainder of the summer, or until such time as he's no longer sick."
All sick or newly turned vampires had to be with their guardian by law, but I don't want to stay with him for the rest of the summer, I had to get out of here. What if Draven doesn't let Papa have ownership of me again? I can't take anymore punishments. Tears beaded in my eyes at the thought. If I have to leave Papa and go back with Sharpe I might lose my mind.
"Do you know exactly how sick he is?"
Papa raised an eyebrow, "You think any amount of mental illness is going to keep him from me?"
"He's got feelings for me. Went and got attached to the first man he had to spend any time with." Way to write 'Daddy Issues' on my forehead there, Sharpe. "On top of that, he's extremely underweight and weak, he has no idea how to find a medium between draining any human he can get his hands on or not drinking at all. He's got no discipline and wouldn't last two years left to his own devices. He is a perfect example of what this institution strives to fix."
Is Papa going to be angry with me? Is he going to leave again? "...I'm taking him home with me."
"The institute is his guardian now, he stays with me."
Papa growled, "I'm taking him home with me!"
"You'll have to take that up with that headmaster then, he decides who stays and who goes." Draven jabbed a thumb at a hallway I hadn't been down before. We followed him, towards the headmaster's office.
Alright, quick, think! I don't look even remotely healthy, but if Papa left me here I don't know if I could survive being left behind a second time. The headmaster probably wouldn't think that was a good enough reason to let me leave, considering how sick I am, but I just can't bear to stay here with Sharpe any longer. Technically, since my sire was never found dead or locked up by a council, he never stopped being my guardian, so really my 'parents' never had the right to sign me over to the institution in the first place. To argue that, however, the nearest council would have to get involved, which would just be an added mess.
