'I am not sure this was a good idea.' Jombo said as they were walking back towards the opening of the cave. Christopher would have thought that seeing the man known as Tarzan, being imprisoned would make him feel more at ease, but he seemed even more paranoid than before.

'Why not?' Bowman laughed. 'Those two are tied up tightly, they won't be getting out of there soon. And soon, we will have our money and can get away from this place.'

'They might not be getting out of there, but we took the children of the man known as Tarzan...'

'Who apparently is nothing more than a fraud, a man who can be easily caught.' Bowman said as he caught of Jombo, mid-sentence, laughing in the process. 'We have nothing to fear from him.'

'It is not him I fear...'

Christopher smiled as he listened to the conversation between the two men. Jombo was right. Father would have gotten help from some of the animals in the Jungle before coming to the cave. Even if father wouldn't be able to help them, his friends would.

'I see the exit!' he heard Latimore scream. 'Let's hurry.'

Soon he felt that the party had started to run, run towards the exit which would lead them into the jungle. And then all of the sudden they stopped, dead in their tracks. After so many hours of being carried on a shoulder his stomach and ribcage must have turned blue. He still couldn't see anything, but he could feel the sweat of fear dripping down the side of Jombo's face. He could smell the thick and damp jungle air. And he could hear the roaring breathing of the Mangini. He grinned slightly; The Mangini. They were certainly there on his father's behalf, and would not let the men escape. All he hoped for, was that they knew not to hurt him and his sister. Then he heard an ear shattering growl.

'What are these things?!' Latimore yelled, fear obvious in his voice.

'That, my good sir, are Manginis.' Jombo said, a mixture of satisfaction and worry audible in his words. He turned around and looked at Bowman. 'I told you they were real.'

Now that Jombo had turned around, Christopher could see the jungle in front of him and could see all the Mangini surrounding them. 'Akut!' Christopher yelled, and then he laughed. 'You see that big one over there, growling at you?' He could see the men look over towards Akut, and heard Bowman gulp. 'He's the Alpha. His name is Akut, and our father grew up his brother.' Christopher laughed again as he saw the other man grow pale with fear.

'You will get me out of here alive, or you will not get your money.' Latimore yelled as he turned to Bowman and Jombo. 'If you do not...' But he couldn't finish his sentence. Before he could he was knocked down onto the ground by John. And the sounds of his Tarzan yell filled the air, joined by the roars and growls of all the Mangini. Soon, Tarzan hurled himself at Bowman, determined to get his children back. But Bowman turned to run, dropping Christopher to the ground. Jombo, gently set Elizabeth down, and turned to run, but neither of them got very far. Their paths were blocked by the Mangini. Then out of nowhere, 4 more guards with knives jumped out of the bushes. Latimore's ambush. Soon, Jane was knocked back down onto the ground, by men running by. One of the men charged at John with a long hunting knife, and the Mangini charged towards the men. The knives scratched them, but barely hurt them. Elizabeth and Christopher had rolled themselves to the side, hoping not to get trampled by the many men and Mangini, fighting for their lives. They watched as their father, unarmed, fought of the man with his knife. He got cut multiple times, but neither blood nor pain would stop him. It was in that moment when Christopher not only by word of mouth, but truly understood why people feared his father. His father contained a strength he had never seen before. He moved with an unhuman swiftness in his environment. Each punch packed a force more than any normal man could throw. He was in his element now, and nothing could stop him. Throughout his battle, he seemed to be communicating with the Mangini, and did not fear it one bit, when he and one of the Mangini, ended up back to back. He heard his father growl.

'These men are only the distraction, Latimore will try to get away.'

Christopher didn't understand what his father had meant to say, but Akut apparently had.

'I will call for someone to take your younglings to safety.'

But before he could call for another Mangini to look after the children, John was proven right. The new men were a distraction, but not just for Latimore to escape.

John's attention was called away from the man hehad been fighting when from the corner of his eye, he saw Latimore pick up hisdaughter. He punched the man in the face, knocking him out, hoping to get tohis daughter fast enough. But they were already on the run, and all that wasleft, was his daughter calling for him as she was being taken away again.
