"REI!!" Yang shouted as the barrier disappeared and said male fell backwards, probably unconscious. Yang dived for the male, just barely catching him before he'd made contact with the ashy ground.
"Rei!?" Yang exclaimed, watching him for any movement. His right arm twitched, his eyes slowly opened. The blonde's eyes were covered in tears, the liquid salt blocking her view. Again she dived, although this time she was attempting to hide her tears.
"Hey, Yang." Rei weakly replied, smiling slightly.
"Wh-Why don't you e-ever l-listen to me!?" She half accused, half cried.
"Because." Rei started, before staring right into her eyes. Given that he must have felt unbearably weak, Yang found t slightly surprising that he spoke the next words perfectly, as if he'd rehearsed them so many times.
"I really love you."

Yang say worriedly in the hospital, the small stool she sat on positioned right next to Rei's bed.
"You can feel it too, right Yang?" Weiss asked as she appeared from the doorway behind Yang.
"Yeah." Yang nodded.
"His powers haven't diminished." Weiss finished, watching her adoptive brother. Yang nodded her head.
"He's kept them." Yang whispered. "But now..."
Weiss nodded her head as well, her eyes joining the club of tears.
"He's in a coma again...."

A man covered in shadows easily strikes a man dead without touching him. With just a wave of his hands, the foolish challenger was blown to pieces.
"Um, Sir Skyline. We have a transmission from Ozpin Of Vale." An underling said, coming forth.
"Ozpin? What does he say?" The man asked.
"You're son is ready."
