Chapter 5 (but its only half done)

Your eyes fluttered open when a light shone through the dark behind your eyelids. Squinting, you sat up with an exhale as you mentally prepared yourself to walk for another day.

Turning towards your bag, a sigh erupted from you once more when you noticed your bag was gone. You were confused, you didn't think people were out this far. Swiveling your head, you took notice of the presence beside you. Eyes widening as you felt a rush of heat in your cheeks, looking away from him. Instead placing your eyes downward, noticing cleaned cuts and bandages here and there and the sleeves of his hoodie.

Surprised, you looked back up at him. He was sitting up but he hadn't moved. That what when you realized he was asleep. You felt bad and decided to have him lay down, placing his head on your leg.

He rarely let you touch his hair, going on about how 'uncool' it made him or whatever. You usually respected that, but it was moments like this that made you put an emphasis on the word rarely.

You ran your fingers through his hair, which always surprised you on how soft it was. You started to hum too, waiting for him to wake up, but silently wishing you could stay like this a while longer.

Around seven minutes later, the boy's eyes fluttered open. All he could do was stare at you, entranced by you and your softness. He wasn't used to such gentle moments due to the life and style that he choose to follow. It was pretty cool.
