A is an assassin and B is an ex-assassin.
The organization has two rules; don't ask questions and listen to your orders. You eat when you're told, you sleep when you're told, you kill when you're told, etc. So when A gets an undercover mission that leaves them on his own (no leader, no hidden listening devices, etc.) they take it with no hesitation.
A doesn't know who B is, why the organization wants them, or what information the organization needs but what A does know is that they have to make B fall in love with them and trick them into telling the organization whatever information the they want.
B is not an assassin anymore, they used to work for the organization but left as soon as they saw what the organization was really doing. B is smart, so when A moves in next door and claims that they are new in town and needs help getting around, B is less than amused.
B spots A's plan right away and decides to do his own undercover mission. A thinks they can make B fall in love with them, well two can play at this game.
