Chapter 5

I get dressed then I go to the bathroom this Monday morning. I curl my hair and I walk out the door. There stands Embry by Sam's jeep. I chuckle and I climb inside.

"Who is patrolling with you tonight?" Embry asks.

"I think Leah and Jared." I reply.

I sit between Kim and Rachel at breakfast. Embry is joking around with Paul and Jared.

The end of the day comes fast and I meet everybody at Sam's. Leah and i go to the clearing. We strip and phase.

You phased yet ? - Jared
Yes. Meet you at the Cullen's territory - Maria

I jog on my wolf legs towards the Cullen border at their territory. Jared is already there. I see Jacob ride his dirtbike up their driveway. I growl lightly.

That traitor -Maria
I know - Leah
Stupid boy is obsessed with the leech lover - Jared

I bow my head so I am not seen by Jacob, I know he smells a new wolf. That new wolf being me. He doesn't know it though. Jared is by me, but he is standing tall along side Leah.

Jacob soon appears in front of us, in his wolf form. He eyes me in confusion.

Who are you? - Jacob Black
My name is Maria. I imprinted in Embry and he imprinted on me. I am new to Sam's pack. -Maria

Jacobs eyes widen. He eyes me in amusement. He walks near me and Leah growls while stepping in front of me. She is back in Sam's pack. Jacob made her leave, she actually listened.

Edward is explaining to Rosalie and Alice that it is me as a wolf. That I phases when I found out what he did to me wth Bella.

"Maria, my brother was stupid for doing that with a stingy human. But at least he isn't with a 'dog'". Rosalie teases.

I growl harshly. Jared steps in front of me and growls at the vampires. I go to a pond nearby and I sit. I watch as the water ripples with the light breeze.

Jacob soon appears behind me. We both phase back and dress at Sam's.

"I think Sam is angry with you." I sigh.

"I don't care. I am grandson of an alpha." Jacob argues.

I throw my hands up in surrender. "My bad dude."

"You're awful pretty to be with Embry." Jacob jokes.

I scoff and I walk into Sam's. "Sam! Jacob Black followed me!" I call when i step inside.

I see my mom on the couch chatting away with Emily. "Mom!" I hug her.

"Where is Jacob?" I hear Sam's booming voice from the kitchen.

Sam soon is in sight at the door frame. Jacob cowers behind me.

"Oh no. I'm no shield." I grumble and I sit between my mom and Emily.

"How dare you step foot in this cabin after betraying us?!" Sam booms out.

Jacob flinches. "I wanted to see the new she-wolf."

"Well, Maria is the new she-wolf. Now out." Sam demands.

Jacob nods and he runs out. I go to the kitchen and see Embry. I hug him from behind, causing him to jump.

"Hey baby." Embry chuckles.

"Hey." I whisper.

"I am patrolling with you. Me and Paul are." Embry says.

"Alright." I whisper back.

Mom and I ate dinner at Sam's. So when we get home, we go straight to our rooms for bed. I change into some pajamas and I crawl into bed. I easily fall asleep. Patrolling is more tiring than I thought.
