once he had everything that he needed, John left the room only to enter the living room. there sat Ringo, curled up in an orange blanket watching something with Tom Cruise in it and an angered look on his face. when he felt John's presence at the doorway, Ringo turned towards the man and sent him a glare so cold that the popcorn was almost dropped, along with John's heart.
"here's your popcorn." John mumbled, not wanting to look into his heart wrenching eyes.
"thank you," he mumbled and turned to face the younger man. "I guess I'm sorry."
"no. it's my fault for calling you that. I promise I'll stop that." John insisted and sat down next to him in silence.
"are you still down to watch Top Gun with me?" Ringo asked and John smiled for a second.
"why not?" he responded and looked around for his own navy blue blanket.
"I left it in the room. let's just share." blue met brown and there was a spark between the two.
"sure." John said and pursed his lips until you could only see a thin white line as a replacement for his partially chapped lips.
leave it to a Lennon to screw everything over.
