Chapter Fourteen

"What do you mean angel? I'm far from angel!" Chloe had taken a few steps away from me. I growled lowly at my parents "You guys need to stop lying to me!" I glared at my mother who held her hands up in surrender 

"You didn't let me finish" My mother let out a small sigh as if she expected this anger. "You were dead. We had to bring you back, we couldn't live without you" 

"You made a deal with the archangel. She made us promise to keep you safe. We kept leaving to try and keep you safe."  I closed my eyes and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I turned around and noticed Chloe standing in front of the door 

"Where are you going?" Chloe jumped slightly but didn't speak. Her eyes were yet again glowing as she stared at me 

"I know why I've been having issues" I stared at her confused before motioning her to continue "I, myself am a creature of the night although not fully. Your power is calling to me to either take you down or follow your orders. You aren't an angel. You're a fallen angel. You're parents didn't follow orders apparently." I looked towards my mother and father who both kept their eyes on the floor.  "They broke a rule or they didn't follow the agreement and it ended up with you losing your wings."  My father growled loudly 

"You don't even understand! We did our best!' Chloe's eyes glared at my father causing him to shiver slightly. Her eyes held a red tint but didn't change 

"You lied to Kat. You told her we were born out of wedlock." My father's eyes widened "You told her that was the reason you kept leaving but it was all a lie" My father sighed but nodded 

"We needed a reason to try and get you to stay, We figured since you both found your mates this time." I shook my head at the man I used to call my father 

"Well Jackson, As you can see I don't plan on leaving. I have a real family here. I don't know what this whole angel thing means but I'm sure my friends and mate will help me figure everything out" I looked at Chloe who nodded to confirm what I had just said "And Apparently you two are supposed to be off my land. I'd run if I were you. The big bad Alpha might come after you" I smiled letting my eyes glow a bit which caused my mother to stand up 

"Your father was never untied, we couldn't leave" 

"That's not my problem anymore."

Short update, I know. Kill me now. I've got to update my other story as well but that's as easy as clicking publish cause it's already written but you know what ever.
