"What happened to the lights?" I asked.
"The TARDIS shut herself down," the Doctor answered.
"Well why'd she do that? Is she stupid?" I asked in an annoyed tone.
"No, someone stupid pushed her buttons," the Doctor snapped.
"Are you calling me stupid?"
"Normally I wouldn't, but right now, yes! Yes, I am."
"So it's my fault, is it?" I started to step closer to him.
"Again, the answer is, yes!"
"No need to raise your voice!"
"You're raising yours!"
"Because you're raising yours!"
"Stop it! The TARDIS has shut down for who-knows-how-long, and you are arguing about who yelled first!"
"You started it!"
"No, you did!"
"Shut up, you bloody idiot!" I stepped closer, so my face was only inches from his.
"Oi! No need to swear!"
"Oh, like you care!"
"You are seven years old! You shouldn't even know how to use the word 'bloody' in any sort of context!"
"Oh come on! I was in Secondary school, it's not like I didn't hear the word 'bloody' every day of my life!"
"Wait, Secondary school?"
"I'm a genius! Do you really think I'd be in primary school?"
"I figured, yeah."
"You are so thick, Doctor. If there is one thing you should know about me, it's that you never underestimate my abilities," I whispered. The Doctor's eyebrows drew together. His eyes moved back and forth, searching my face.
"Why did you say that?" he asked. I was confused now, what did he mean?
"Because it's true?" why else would I say it?
"That seems familiar. Are you sure you didn't hear from somewhere else?" I backed away from him a few steps.
"Very sure," right after I had said those words, the lights came back on in the TARDIS. "Is she back to normal now?" I asked. He went to the console, pressed a few buttons, and checked the screen.
"Not completely, but she should be in a few minutes. We got lucky. The average time period for such an emergency power down is two to forty-five days. Next time," he turned back to me, his eyes cold. "don't touch the console."
I turned from the Doctor, going back towards the corridor that would lead me back to my room.
"Koschei, wait." I stopped, but continued facing away from him. "I shouldn't have lost my temper with you. Please, can we just talk over it?" I still continued facing the opposite direction.
"Talk over what?" I filled my voice with obliviousness. I had become quite accustomed to doing so, with my years of theater.
"Koschei," he sighed.
"Talk. Over. What?" I asked again, more persistent this time.
"Come sit down," he asked calmly.
"No thanks. I'm kind of knackered. Think I'll go take a kip in my room."
"Koschei, please. I promised your Mother."
"Is that the only reason you're doing this? Because she asked you to? Because that's what it sounds like to me. Every time we have a conversation, you mention her."
"Koschei, that's not-"
"Not what? Not the reason? Then tell me, what is the reason. What is the reason I haven't been dropped at an orphanage already?" I deadpanned.
"Because, Koschei, you are my meta-crisis' son, and therefore, that makes you my son."
"You are not my Father!" I snapped, turning around to face him.
"What can I do?" he sighed. "You're right, I'm never going to replace your Dad. Now please tell me, what can I do to help you?" he stepped towards me a bit.
"Bring my mum back. And then you can leave us alone."
"You know I can't do that, Koschei."
"Well then there's your answer. You can't." I turned back around slowly, shoulders slumped.
And with that, I left the console room, to hide away from the malicious Doctor.
. . . .
I'm standing in a dark hallway, no, the TARDIS hallway. It's the hallway outside of my room. I hear a voice calling my name, it's too far away to tell whose it is. I slowly walk towards the voice, trying to see where it's coming from. As I walk closer, I start to notice that the voice is feminine. I start to walk a little more quickly, as I can tell the voice is distressed. I start to run as I hear the voice get louder, almost as if it's scared. I run into the room where I hear the voice coming from. And as I walk in, it is no longer on of the rooms in the TARDIS, it is instead, the room where my Mum died.

Okay. So... this is me. And "me" is Jackunspoke. I am doing the author's note for this chapter, since we haven't updated in too dang long. But! I have a lame excuse! It's all school. School is the one to blame. Blame it all on school. But other than the lame excuse, what do you think of it so far? Good? Bad? Please do tell us! Also, GemStone9 is the one to congratulate for the AMAZING grammar and wording. Goodbye and don't die.
